June changed our lives. Overnight we went from celebrating as a family that César Augusto cut the 5k of the Oceanman in Manta to having 2 operations in just over 8 days. The first to remove a large tumor from the intestinal area and the second to perform an ileostomy. Today June 24, we walk through the 4th week hospitalized; At the time he spent several days in the ICU and to date he continues with different types of tests until they manage to find the solution so that his digestive tract functions as normal as possible to be able to eat. His condition - cataloged as a catastrophic illness - requires a lot of care in the future. Today we need your support to pay the hospital bills that continue to rise and to raise funds for the multiple treatments that he will need. Expensive drugs/food.

Junio nos cambio la vida. De la noche a la mañana pasamos de festejar en familia que César Augusto logró los 5k del Oceanman en Manta a tener 2 operaciones en algo más de 8 días. La primera para extraer un gran tumor de la zona intestinal y la segunda para practicar una ileostomía. Hoy 24 de junio, caminamos a la 4ta semana internado en el hospital; en ese tiempo paso varios días en UCI y a la fecha sigue con exámenes de diferentes tipos hasta lograr hallar la solución para que su tracto digestivo funcione lo más normal posible para poder alimentarse. Su condición - catalogada cómo enfermedad catastrófica- requiere de muchos cuidados a futuro. Hoy necesitamos tu apoyo para pagar las cuentas del hospital que siguen aumentando y para levantar fondos para los múltiples tratamientos que tendrá que seguir con medicamentos/alimentación costosos. “Hoy estoy espectacular” es su respuesta cuando le preguntan cómo está. Amante de la NBA festejando con pasión cada cesta de los Lakers, los Miami Heat o los Boston Celtic... Anhela volver a entrenar en la piscina a las 05:00am lo antes posible y ojalá poder volver a cruzar este año el lago San Pablo. Estamos pasando por un proceso largo, viviendo pasito a pasito, en el que la competencia es con la vida y en la que gracias a ustedes seguiremos sosteniendo las brazadas hasta llegar a esta meta.
