Hola, mi nombre es Lia y quiero contarles la historia de Cocoa, nuestra perrita juguetona, amorosa y la alegría del hogar. Desde que era una cachorrita, Cocoa ha sido parte de nuestra familia — aunque por circunstancias de la vida, no habíamos podido tenerla físicamente con nosotros.

Hace apenas un mes logramos traerla a Winnipeg, Canadá, y desde ese momento, nuestra casa volvió a sentirse completa. Verla correr, acurrucarse con nosotros y llenar cada rincón de amor ha sido un sueño hecho realidad. Para nosotros, Cocoa no es solo una mascota — es nuestra hija de cuatro patas, una compañera fiel que ha esperado pacientemente para estar con su familia.

Lamentablemente, hace poco Cocoa sufrió una lesión en su rodilla, y tras varios exámenes el veterinario confirmó que necesita una cirugía TPLO (reconstrucción del ligamento cruzado) para poder volver a caminar y jugar sin dolor.

El costo total de la cirugía, junto con los exámenes y medicamentos necesarios, es de $6,000 CAD, según el presupuesto y factura emitidos por el veterinario. Estoy cubriendo lo que puedo, pero el monto total es demasiado alto para hacerlo sola.

Hi, my name is Lia, and I’d like to share the story of Cocoa — our playful, loving pup who is truly the heart of our home. Cocoa has been part of our family since she was just a little puppy, but due to life circumstances, we hadn’t been able to have her physically with us.

Just one month ago, we were finally able to bring her to Winnipeg, Canada — and from the moment she arrived, our house felt complete again. Seeing her run around, cuddle with us, and fill every corner with joy has been a dream come true. To us, Cocoa isn’t just a pet — she’s our four-legged daughter, a loyal companion who waited patiently to be reunited with her family.

Unfortunately, Cocoa recently injured her knee, and after several vet visits and X-rays, she was diagnosed with a torn ligament that requires a TPLO surgery to help her walk and run again without pain.

The total cost of the surgery, including exams and medication, is $6,000 CAD, according to the estimate and invoice from our veterinarian. I’m doing my best to cover what I can, but the full amount is beyond my means.
