Baby Liam was born with a complex heart condition: tricuspid atresia and transposition of the great arteries. At 9 months old, he underwent open-heart surgery, but complications arose. He needed an additional surgery to repair his diaphragm muscle, and he has now been hospitalized for nearly three months in the Cardiovascular ICU at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Pete.

His parents, Amanda and Luis Gabriel, have done everything possible to be by his side while also trying to keep their home life stable. However, his mom had to leave her job, and his dad, who is self-employed, is now juggling hospital visits and caring for their other children. While medical costs are thankfully covered, the financial strain has become overwhelming.

That’s why we’ve launched this campaign — to offer them some relief during this incredibly difficult time. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a meaningful difference.

El pequeño Liam nació con una compleja condición cardíaca: atresia tricúspide y transposición de grandes arterias. A los 9 meses fue sometido a una cirugía a corazón abierto, pero surgieron complicaciones, tuvo que ser sometido a otra cirugía del diafragma muscular y hoy lleva casi tres meses hospitalizado en la UCI Cardiovascular del hospital Johns Hopkins, St. Pete.

Sus papás, Amanda y Luis Gabriel, han hecho todo lo posible por estar con él y a la vez mantener el hogar. Sin embargo, su mamá tuvo que dejar su trabajo y su papá, que trabaja independiente, divide su tiempo entre el hospital y el cuidado de sus otros hijos. Aunque los costos médicos están cubiertos, la situación económica se ha vuelto muy difícil para ellos.

Por eso abrimos esta campaña: para brindarles un poco de alivio en este momento tan duro. Cada aportación, por pequeña que sea, marca una gran diferencia.
