Ayudemos a Ana Carolina

Amigos, familiares y conocidos:

Ella es Ana Carolina, una mujer extraordinaria que no necesita mayor presentación. Es hija de Carol y Gregory, madre de Valeria, mi hermana, mi mejor amiga y la mejor persona que conozco. Además, es prima, ahijada, sobrina, profe y amiga de muchos.

Lamentablemente, el 9 de abril de 2024, recibimos el diagnóstico de un carcinoma ductal in situ triple negativo en la mama izquierda que amenaza la salud de Ana. Este último mes ha sido de numerosos exámenes y pruebas para determinar el estadio y el tratamiento más efectivo contra esta enfermedad, que debemos abordar rápidamente para garantizar su erradicación definitiva y oportuna. Ante esta urgencia, Ana fue sometida el lunes 13 de mayo a una cirugía en la Unidad Quirúrgica 58 en Caracas, Venezuela, para extirpar el tumor y el tejido afectado. Hasta ahora la evolución ha sido satisfactoria, sin embargo aún debe someterse a una serie de evaluaciones postoperatorias para determinar el origen de esta afección y, finalmente, recibir un tratamiento de quimioterapia cuyas particularidades aún están por definir.

Con fe y optimismo, acudimos a ustedes, ya que la complicada situación en Venezuela no nos permite cubrir la totalidad de los gastos médicos que se nos presentan ante este diagnóstico. Los elevados costos de los exámenes, la cirugía y los tratamientos postoperatorios han ido agotando nuestros ahorros familiares. Agradecemos de corazón sus donativos. Que Dios les bendiga siempre.

She is Ana Carolina, an extraordinary woman who needs no further introduction. She is the daughter of Carol and Gregory, mother of Valeria, my sister, my best friend, and the best person I know. Additionally, she is a cousin, goddaughter, niece, teacher, and friend to many.

Unfortunately, on April 9, 2024, we received the diagnosis of a triple-negative ductal carcinoma in situ in her left breast that threatens Ana's health. This past month has been filled with numerous exams and tests to determine the stage and most effective treatment against this disease, which we must address quickly to ensure its definitive and timely eradication. Given this urgency, Ana underwent surgery on Monday, May 13, at Surgical Unit 58 in Caracas, Venezuela, to remove the tumor and affected tissue. So far, the progress has been satisfactory; however, she still needs to undergo a series of post-operative evaluations to determine the origin of this condition and, finally, receive chemotherapy treatment, the specifics of which are yet to be defined.

With faith and optimism, we turn to you, as the complicated situation in Venezuela does not allow us to cover all the medical expenses presented by this diagnosis. The high costs of exams, surgery, and post-operative treatments have been depleting our family savings. We sincerely appreciate your donations. May God bless you always.
