Today, I write these words with my heart in my hands, asking for help during one of the most difficult moments of our lives.

My husband, Javier Alberto Rueda Carrero, is a Venezuelan national and a licensed CDL truck driver. He entered the United States legally on a tourist visa and has been in the asylum process since 2017. He is a hardworking, honest, and responsible man with no criminal record. He has paid taxes, followed the law, and dedicated himself to building a better future for our family.

On February 18, 2026, during a routine inspection in Oklahoma, he was detained by a DOT officer and later transferred to ICE. Since that day, he has been held in a detention center, separated from his family, and our lives have been turned upside down.

Javier is eligible to request an immigration bond so he can continue his legal process while at home with his family. The bond is estimated between $20,000 and $23,000 — an amount that is simply impossible for us to afford on our own in such a short time.

We are humbly asking for your support to help bring him home.

This is not just about a bond — it’s about keeping a family together, about giving a good man the chance to continue his case with dignity and freedom.

These are very difficult times for immigrant families like ours. We hold onto our faith in God, in justice, and in the kindness of people with compassionate hearts.

Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to reuniting our family. And if you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign would mean the world to us.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, your prayers, and your kindness.

With hope,
Maria Gabriela Rojas
