Ayúdanos a luchar junto a mi mamá contra el Glioblastoma

Hace un año nuestra vida cambió por completo. Mi mamá fue diagnosticada con glioblastoma multiforme, un agresivo tumor cerebral que ha ido afectando su movilidad. Actualmente tiene paralizado su lado izquierdo y la enfermedad ha comenzado a comprometer su lado derecho, incluyendo su visión.

Durante todo este tiempo hemos hecho todo lo posible para cuidarla, brindarle los mejores tratamientos y terapias. Hemos confiado en Dios y en la medicina, sin rendirnos nunca. Sin embargo, los costos médicos en Estados Unidos son muy altos, y ya hemos alcanzado el límite de muchos de los beneficios de su seguro médico.

One year ago, our lives changed completely. My mom was diagnosed with glioblastoma multiforme, an aggressive brain tumor that has been affecting her mobility. She now has paralysis on her left side, and the disease has started to affect her right side as well, including her vision.

Throughout this journey, we have done everything we can to care for her, provide the best treatments, and stay strong in faith. But the reality is that medical care in the U.S. is extremely expensive, and we have already reached the maximum coverage for many of her insurance benefits.

My mom attends physical therapy to maintain her strength and prevent complete loss of mobility. She also receives weekly intravenous Vitamin C sessions to help strengthen her immune system and support her body as it fights this disease. We want to continue giving her quality of life and hope, but each therapy session and treatment comes with a cost that we can no longer cover alone.

If you have ever met my mom, you know she is a woman of faith, a loving and caring daughter, sister, friend, and colleague, always ready to help others with a warm smile and kind words. Now, it is our turn to ask for help for her.

Mi mamá recibe terapias físicas para mantener la fuerza muscular y evitar que pierda totalmente su movilidad. También tiene sesiones semanales de vitamina C intravenosa para fortalecer su sistema inmune y ayudar a su cuerpo a luchar contra esta enfermedad. Queremos seguir dándole calidad de vida y esperanza, pero cada sesión y cada terapia significa un gasto que hoy ya no podemos cubrir solos.

Quienes han tenido la dicha de conocer a mi mamá saben que es una mujer de fe, que ama a su familia, que ha sido una hija, hermana, amiga y colega ejemplar, siempre dispuesta a ayudar a los demás con una sonrisa y una palabra de aliento. Hoy, nos toca a nosotros pedir ayuda por ella.
