Con el corazón lleno de tristeza, compartimos la noticia del fallecimiento de Mael Ochoa Pérez. Después de 28 años de arduo trabajo y perseverancia en los Estados Unidos, su viaje ha llegado a su fin, lejos del hogar y de la familia que siempre llevó en su corazón.

Nacido el 29 de octubre de 1974 en Palencia, Guatemala, Mael dedicó su vida a la industria de la construcción, representando la resiliencia y dedicación de tantos latinos trabajadores. Aunque construyó una vida en los EE.UU., nunca tuvo la oportunidad de regresar a Guatemala, de recorrer sus calles nuevamente o de abrazar a sus seres queridos.

Con tu ayuda, podemos darle la oportunidad de descansar en paz junto a sus padres y su familia en Guatemala.

Nuestro objetivo es recaudar los fondos necesarios para cumplir el último deseo de Mael: reunirse con sus padres y recibir sepultura en la tierra donde comenzó su historia. Cualquier donación, sin importar la cantidad, nos ayudará a llevarlo de regreso a casa y a brindarle a su familia la oportunidad de despedirse de él.

With heavy hearts, we share the unexpected passing of Mael Ochoa Pérez. After 28 years of hard work and perseverance in the United States, Mael’s journey has come to an end, far from home and family he always carried in his heart.

Born on October 29, 1974, in Palencia, Guatemala, Mael dedicated his life to the construction industry, embodying the resilience and dedication of so many hardworking Latinos. Though he built a life in the U.S., he never had the opportunity to return to Guatemala, to walk its streets again, or to embrace his loved ones. With your help, we would be giving him the opportunity to be buried next to his parents & his family back home.

Our goal is to raise the necessary funds to honor Mael’s final wish—to reunite him with his parents and lay him to rest in the land where his story began. Any donation, no matter the size, will help us bring him home and provide his family the chance to say their final goodbyes.
