Con el corazón más pesado compartimos que nuestra querida Andrea Ladera falleció pacíficamente esta mañana después de una larga y valiente batalla contra la Dermatomiositis.

Andrea era un alma hermosa — amable, fuerte y llena de compasión. Tenía un gran corazón y siempre defendía lo que era correcto, nunca permanecía en silencio ante una injusticia. Luchó por las causas en las que creía, apoyó los esfuerzos con ICE y motivó a su familia y amigos a hacer oír su voz votando.

A lo largo de su enfermedad, Andrea demostró una fuerza increíble. Enfrentó incontables hospitalizaciones, soportó un dolor inimaginable e incluso sobrevivió a un coma y a una sonda de alimentación. A pesar de todo, nunca perdió su espíritu ni su bondad.

Aunque hoy la lloramos profundamente, encontramos consuelo al saber que ya está en paz, reunida con su mamá y su hermana mayor en el cielo.

Estamos pidiendo su ayuda para poder darle a Andrea la despedida que se merece. Cualquier contribución — por pequeña que sea — nos ayudará a cubrir los gastos funerarios y del sepelio. Incluso una oración o un mensaje de apoyo significa mucho para nosotros en este momento tan difícil.

It’s with the heaviest heart that we share that our beloved Andrea Ladera has passed away peacefully this morning after a long, courageous battle with Dermatomyositis.

Andrea was a beautiful soul — kind, strong, and full of compassion. She had a big heart and always stood up for what was right, never staying silent when she witnessed injustice. She fought for important causes, supported efforts with ICE, and inspired her family and friends to make their voices heard through voting.

Throughout her illness, Andrea showed incredible strength. She faced countless hospital stays, endured unimaginable pain, and even survived a coma and a feeding tube. Despite it all, she never lost her spirit or her kindness.

While we mourn her loss deeply, we find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace — reunited with her mom and older sister in heaven.

We are asking for your help to give Andrea the farewell she deserves. Any contribution — no matter how small — will help us cover funeral and burial costs. Even a prayer or kind message means the world to us during this painful time.
