Help Us Build the Future of the Cuban Community in San Antonio

Como administrador del grupo de Facebook Cubanos en San Antonio, Texas, te invito a ser parte de un momento histórico: el nacimiento de nuestra organización sin fines de lucro. Durante el último año y medio, hemos participado activamente en eventos culturales que celebran nuestras raíces, y ahora queremos dar el siguiente gran paso: formalizar nuestra comunidad para que podamos crecer, apoyar y representar aún más.

La mayoría de las comunidades internacionales en San Antonio ya cuentan con organizaciones establecidas. Es hora de que la comunidad cubana también tenga una voz organizada, fuerte y con propósito.

Una vez que recibamos la aprobación oficial como organización sin fines de lucro, tenemos planes hermosos y transformadores:

Otorgar becas a jóvenes cubanos graduados de secundaria para que puedan continuar sus estudios universitarios o técnicos.

Organizar eventos culturales que celebren nuestra identidad y fortalezcan los lazos entre nosotros.

Apoyar al talento local—bailarines, cantantes, poetas, artistas—que hacen vibrar nuestras tradiciones con pasión y creatividad.

Nuestro sueño es que cada cubano en San Antonio se sienta respaldado, representado y orgulloso de pertenecer a esta comunidad. Convertirnos en una organización sin fines de lucro es el primer paso para lograrlo, y tu donación puede marcar la diferencia.

As the administrator of the Facebook group Cubanos en San Antonio, Texas, I invite you to be part of a historic moment: the birth of our nonprofit organization. For the past year and a half, we’ve actively participated in cultural events that celebrate our roots. Now, we’re ready to take the next big step—formalizing our community so we can grow, support, and represent even more.

Most international communities in San Antonio already have established organizations. It’s time for the Cuban community to have a strong, purposeful voice too.

Once we receive official nonprofit status, we have beautiful and transformative plans ahead:

Award scholarships to Cuban high school graduates so they can pursue college or technical studies.

Host cultural events that celebrate our identity and strengthen our local bonds.

Support local talent—dancers, singers, poets, artists—who bring our traditions to life with passion and creativity.

Our dream is for every Cuban in San Antonio to feel supported, represented, and proud to belong. Becoming a nonprofit is the first step, and your donation can make all the difference.
