Hello everybody, my name is Shalui Abeles and recently my cousin, Mireya Cruz, was in a devastating drunk driving accident in Cieneguilla, Oaxaca, Mexico. She is 17 years old and there is a high chance she will never walk again due to her spinal chord injury. She is the youngest of 5 and her family has very little resources, so ANY donations will be GREATLY appreciated. $1 dollars, $2 dollars anything will help this life-changing situation. UPDATE (7/17/18)

Thank you so much for your support in these difficult moments for my family. Mireya, will be discharged from the hospital soon. She will be resting for a few days in Oaxaca City. Currently, there is no sign that she will be able to walk, but she's scheduled to visit a rehabilitation hospital. Thankfully, she is conscious, eating, and expressing to her family that she is feeling better. We appreciate your time, thoughts, prayers, and generous donations. We will continue to update you on Mireya's recovery.

Muchas gracias a todos por su apoyo en estos momentos tan difíciles para nuestra familia. La van a dar de alta del hospital pronto. Ella estará descansando por unos días en la ciudad de Oaxaca. Actualmente, no hay señales de que pueda caminar, pero tiene programado visitar un hospital de rehabilitación. Afortunadamente, está consciente, comiendo y expresándole a su familia que se siente mejor. Agradecemos su tiempo, apoyo, oraciones y sus generosas donaciones.
