Mi nombre es Claudia Bohórquez y soy de Venezuela; sobreviviente de cáncer de mama y dos metástasis cerebrales, de la mano de Dios y de muchas personas que amorosamente me han acompañado y guiado, he podido superar esta enfermedad.
Fue en el año 2011, cuando por primera vez me fue diagnosticado un cáncer en mi seno derecho, empezó entonces este gran recorrido el cual ha sido de gran enseñanza para mis hijas, mi familia, amigos y conocidos que de una u otra forma han visto la realidad de esta dura enfermedad, que a la vez me ha hecho crecer y me ha hecho ver la vida de otra manera, demostrándome día a día que Dios y la Virgen verdaderamente existen, viendo yo misma los milagros que cada día hacen en mí.
Hace 5 años tuve una metástasis en cerebelo y fui operada en Caracas Venezuela, por unos excelentes médicos Neurocirujanos, del Centro Medico Docente la Trinidad, entre ellos el Doctor Marlon Díaz Fabelo el cual me ha operado en tres oportunidades por recaídas en el mismo lugar y las cuales han sido todo un éxito y no me han dejado ningún daño a nivel neurológico, estuve libre de la enfermedad por 4 años, en Octubre de 2016 me volvieron a detectar otra metástasis en cerebelo y fui operada de nuevo por el mismo equipo de médicos, al igual que la primera no dejo ninguna secuela pero tuve que ser operada por tercera vez por algo que había quedado en la parte superior que no había podido ser retirado por lo extensa de la operación, esa última masa retirada resulto negativa, recibí radio cirugía por 10 sesiones luego de la cirugía de Octubre en la unidad de Radioterapia del Centro medico Docente la Trinidad, los oncólogos me indicaron quimioterapia de por vida con un medicamento vía oral llamado Xeloda o Capecitabine de 500 mg (4 tabletas diarias, por 15 días, se descansan 7 días y se vuelve a comenzar) cuyo precio se encuentra entre 300 y 500 US$ y Tykerb o Lapatinib de 250 mg (5 tabletas diarias) cuyo precio se encuentra entre 1.800 y 3.000 US$. Absolutamente todo lo recibido en esta campaña, será destinado a la compra de los medicamentos anteriormente mencionados, los cuales me han sido indicados de por vida. Todos los fondos serán enviados a la cuenta de mi tía Nelly B Bohórquez y será quien compre dichos medicamentos.
Los medicamentos no se consiguen en Venezuela y son muy costosos en el exterior, mi familia me ha ayudado en todo lo que ha estado a su alcance a sufragar los gastos que he necesitado, pero se hace difícil en estos momentos por la situación del país, por eso agradecería de corazón la colaboración de cada uno de ustedes, para poder sufragar los gastos de mi tratamiento oncológico, ya que quisiera vivir muchos años más junto a mis dos hermosas hijas, ellas son el motor y el empuje para que yo luche y me mantenga de pie, con fuerza ante esta enfermedad, que ha sido una prueba de Amor que Dios envió a mi vida.
My name is Claudia Bohórquez and I'm from Venezuela; survivor of breast cancer and two brain metastases, from the hand of God and many people who have lovingly accompanied and guided me, I have been able to overcome this disease.
It was in 2011, when for the first time I was diagnosed with cancer in my right breast, then began this great journey which has been a great lesson for my daughters, my family, friends and acquaintances who in one way or another have seen the reality of this harsh disease, which at the same time has made me grow and has made me see life in a different way, demonstrating day by day that God and the Virgin truly exist, seeing for myself the miracles that they do every day in me.
Five years ago I had a metastasis in cerebellum and I was operated in Caracas Venezuela, by excellent Neurosurgeon doctors, of the Trinity Medical Center, among them Dr. Marlon Díaz Fabelo who has operated me on three occasions for relapses in the same place and which have been a success and have not left any damage at the neurological level, I was free of the disease for 4 years, in October 2016 I was again detected another metastasis in cerebellum and I was operated again by the same team of doctors, like the first one it did not leave any sequel but I had to be operated for the third time because of something that had been left in the upper part that could not be removed because of the extensive operation, that last mass removed was negative, I received radio surgery for 10 sessions after the October surgery in the Radiotherapy unit of the La Trinidad Medical Center, the oncologists indicated me chemotherapy for life with a med orally consumed, called Xeloda or Capecitabine 500 mg (4 tablets daily, for 15 days, rest for 7 days and start again) which price is among 300 and 500 US and Tykerb or Lapatinib 250 mg (5 tablets daily) which price is among 1,800 and 3,000 US$. Absolutely everything received in this campaign will be used to purchase the aforementioned medications, which have been indicated for life. All funds will be sent to my aunt Nelly B Bohórquez's account and she will be the one who purchases these medications.
The medicines are not available in Venezuela and are very expensive abroad, my family has helped me in everything that has been within their reach to cover the expenses that I have needed, but it is difficult at this time due to the situation in the country. For that reason I would be grateful for the collaboration of each one of you, to be able to cover the expenses of my oncological treatment, since I would like to live many more years with my two beautiful daughters, they are the motor and the push for me to fight and keep standing, with strength in the face of this disease, which has been a test of Love that God sent to my life.
