Hello, my name is Juan Carlos Jiménez, and today I am facing one of the most difficult moments of my life.
I was diagnosed with a brain tumor located in the optic chiasm, an extremely delicate area that directly affects vision. Due to the tumor’s location, my doctors consider it very risky to attempt surgical removal or even perform a biopsy, as there is a possibility of losing vision in both eyes.
A few months ago, I underwent proton radiation therapy with the hope of improving my condition and being able to continue living a normal life with my family.
However, three months after the treatment, I developed inflammation of the optic nerves, which has severely affected my eyesight. This situation has prevented me from working and supporting my family as I always have.
I am currently continuing to undergo medical consultations, treatments, and ongoing evaluations. According to my doctors, there is hope that this condition will not last longer than two months and that I will be able to regain stability in my life and return to work to support my family.
In the meantime, household expenses and medical bills continue to accumulate and have become very difficult to manage.
Asking for help is not easy for me, but today I do so for my wife, my daughters, and the hope of recovering and moving forward alongside them.

Hola, mi nombre es Juan Carlos Jiménez y hoy me encuentro atravesando uno de los momentos más difíciles de mi vida.
Fui diagnosticado con un tumor en el cerebro ubicado en el quiasma óptico, una zona extremadamente delicada que afecta directamente la visión. Debido a la ubicación del tumor, los médicos consideran muy riesgoso intentar extraerlo o incluso realizar una biopsia, ya que existe la posibilidad de perder la visión de ambos ojos.
Hace algunos meses recibí radioterapia de protones con la esperanza de mejorar mi condición y poder continuar con mi vida normal junto a mi familia.
Sin embargo, tres meses después del tratamiento comencé a presentar una inflamación en los nervios ópticos que ha afectado seriamente mi vista. Esta situación me ha impedido trabajar y sostener a mi familia como siempre lo he hecho.
Actualmente continúo enfrentando consultas médicas, tratamientos y evaluaciones constantes. Según el diagnóstico existe la esperanza de poder regularizar mi vida nuevamente y volver a trabajar para sostener a mi familia.
Mientras tanto, los gastos del hogar y las facturas médicas siguen acumulándose y se han vuelto muy difíciles de cubrir.
Pedir ayuda no es fácil para mí, pero hoy lo hago por mi esposa, mis hijas y por la esperanza de poder recuperarme y salir adelante junto a ellos.
