Mi nombre es Ángel Lugo. Recientemente fui diagnosticado con linfoma folicular, un tipo de cáncer que ha cambiado mi vida de forma inesperada. Hoy me encuentro viviendo solo en Estados Unidos, lejos de mi esposa y mi pequeña hija, mientras enfrento este difícil camino hacia la recuperación.

En estos momentos estoy reteniendo líquidos y mi salud no me permite trabajar. Pronto comenzaré con quimioterapia, un tratamiento necesario pero costoso. Aunque cuento con seguro médico, no cubre la totalidad del tratamiento ni mis gastos básicos, como la renta, el teléfono y otras responsabilidades que no se detienen, a pesar de mi condición.

Nunca imaginé tener que pedir ayuda de esta manera, pero hoy necesito de la solidaridad de quienes puedan tenderme una mano. Cada aporte, por pequeño que sea, será una luz en medio de esta tormenta.

Mi mayor deseo es salir adelante, vencer esta enfermedad y volver a estar junto a mi familia, ver crecer a mi hija y seguir construyendo la vida que soñamos.

Help Me Fight Lymphoma and Reunite with My Family

My name is Ángel Lugo. I was recently diagnosed with follicular lymphoma, a type of cancer that has turned my life upside down. I am currently living alone in the United States, far from my wife and young daughter, while I face this difficult journey toward recovery.

Right now, I’m experiencing fluid retention and am physically unable to work. I’m about to begin chemotherapy, a treatment that is necessary but expensive. Although I have health insurance, it does not cover the full cost of the treatment or my basic living expenses such as rent, phone bills, and other day-to-day responsibilities that continue despite my illness.

I never imagined myself in this position, but today I find myself humbly asking for help. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference during this challenging time.

My greatest hope is to overcome this disease, reunite with my family, and watch my daughter grow up—to keep building the life we dreamed of together.
