Ayudame a Vencer el Cancer por 3ra vez

Hello, my name is Mary Gomes. In 2019, I was diagnosed with stage III ovarian cancer, with metastases to the omentum and bladder. I was living in Venezuela at the time and was able to undergo surgery. I completed my full course of chemotherapy. And thank God, my tumor levels have normalized.

In 2020, due to the situation in Venezuela, I had to leave my country and come to the United States in search of a better quality of life. During one of my routine checkups in December of that same year, I had a relapse, and the cancer had returned. It had metastasized again, but this time to my abdomen. I had to undergo more chemotherapy sessions and tests again, which were supported by a foundation that was able to lend a financial hand to ease my financial burden. In May 2021, the tests were again encouraging, and the cancer seemed to be gone from my life.

In December 2024, the surprise was devastating when, during a routine checkup, the tumor levels were very elevated, and this time, the metastasis was present in the pancreas. I am currently undergoing chemotherapy sessions, undergoing numerous tests and CT scans throughout my body to further evaluate the disease. Although it is already a difficult process, the fact that I lack health insurance and the foundation cannot provide the same assistance at this time makes it necessary for me to raise funds to help cover my medical expenses, which currently exceed $45.000.

Hola, Me llamo Mary Gomes. En el 2019 fui diagnosticada con cáncer de ovario, etapa III, con metástasis en Epiplón y Vejiga. En ese momento vivía en Venezuela y pude ser operada. Cumplí con mi tratamiento completo de quimioterapia. Y Gracias a Dios los valores tumorales se normalizaron.

En el 2020 por la situación de Venezuela, tuve que abandonar mi país y venir a Estados Unidos en busca de una mejor Calidad de vida. En uno de mis controles rutinarios en Diciembre de ese mismo año tuve una recaída y el cáncer había vuelto. Nuevamente metástasis pero esta vez en el abdomen. Otra vez tuve que someterme a mas sesiones de quimioterapia, y exámenes que me fueron respaldados por una fundación que pudo tenderme la mano financieramente para poder aligerar la carga económica. En mayo del 2021 los exámenes nuevamente eran esperanzadores y el cáncer parecía haberse ido nuevamente de mi vida.

En Diciembre de 2024, la sorpresa fue devastadora cuando en un chequeo de rutina los valores tumorales estaban muy elevados y esta vez la metástasis estaba presente en el páncreas. Actualmente estoy recibiendo sesiones de quimioterapia, me estoy realizando muchos exámenes y tomografías en todo mi cuerpo para seguir evaluando la enfermedad. Aun y cuando ya es un proceso bastante difícil, se suma a que por la falta de seguro médico y debido a que la fundación no puede brindarme la misma ayuda en este momento, me veo en la necesidad de realizar esta recaudación para ayudarme a cubrir los gastos médicos que ahora mismo ya superan los $45.000.
