Mi nombre es Humberto Villafuerte Álvarez. Desde 2019 vivo con un Linfoma de Hodgkin recurrente y el Síndrome de Guillain-Barré. En marzo de este año, recibí la noticia de que el cáncer había regresado, y desde entonces mi vida se ha convertido en una lucha constante: por mi salud, por el tiempo, y por los recursos necesarios para continuar con las quimioterapias.

Como muchos saben, en México llevamos años enfrentando un grave desabasto de medicamentos, una realidad especialmente dura para quienes vivimos con cáncer. Afortunadamente, hoy puedo decir que ya cuento con los medicamentos necesarios para completar mi tratamiento. Sin embargo, aún queda una parte muy importante por resolver: cubrir los gastos de hospitalización y los implementos médicos indispensables para cada sesión.

Por eso hoy les pido su ayuda. Cualquier apoyo, por pequeño que parezca, suma en esta batalla. Estoy decidido a vencer esta enfermedad, recuperar mi salud y retomar mi vida.

My name is Humberto Villafuerte Álvarez. Since 2019, I have been living with recurrent Hodgkin's lymphoma and Guillain-Barré Syndrome. In March of this year, I received the news that the cancer had returned, and since then, my life has become a constant battle—for my health, for time, and for the resources needed to continue chemotherapy.

As many of you know, Mexico has been facing a severe shortage of medications for years—a harsh reality, especially for those of us living with cancer. Fortunately, I can now say that I have the necessary medications to complete my treatment. However, there is still a very important part left to resolve: covering the costs of hospitalization and the essential medical supplies required for each session.

That’s why today I’m asking for your help. Any support, no matter how small it may seem, makes a difference in this fight. I’m determined to beat this disease, regain my health, and take back my life.
