My name is Juan Carlos, and I am asking for help to save the life of "La Tia Tere" as she is affectionately known.

She is the aunt of my nephew Anthony. She is 69 years old, lives with her husband, her two daughters and her grandson in the San Gabriel neighborhood; in the town of Apopa in the department of San Salvador, El Salvador.

She is a feisty person, who from the age of 12 has earned her living as a seamstress. A month ago she began having severe pains in her abdomen. When she arrived at the hospital they performed an ultrasound and after the tests they gave her a diagnosis of liver cancer. Therefore, it is necessary to do chemotherapy treatment to try to reduce the tumor that is located in the liver, which has a size of 70% of the total liver. She has worked independently and has no health insurance.

The cost of treatment is $6,000, and it promises to extend her quality of life by 6 years. If she does not have access to treatment and subsequent operation, doctors consider that it is a matter of months for her liver to stop working. Mi nombre es Juan Carlos Paredes, y estoy pidiendo ayuda para salvar la vida de "La Tía Tere" como cariñosamente se le conoce.

Es la tía de mi sobrino Antony, ella tiene 69 años, vive junto a su esposo, sus dos hijas y su nieto. En la colonia San Gabriel; en la localidad de Apopa del departamento de San Salvador, El Salvador.

Ella es una persona luchadora, que desde la edad de 12 años se gana la vida con la profesión de costurera. Hace un mes le dieron fuertes dolores en el abdomen. Cuando llego al hospital le realizaron un Ultrasonido y posteriormente a los exámenes los resultaron le dieron un diagnóstico de Cáncer de hígado. Por lo cual es necesario hacer un tratamiento de quimioterapia para tratar de reducir el tumor que está localizado en el hígado, el cual tiene un tamaño del 70% del total del hígado. Ella ha trabajado de manera independiente y no cuenta con seguro médico.

El costo del tratamiento es de $6,000 el cual promete alargar su calidad de vida por 6 años. De no tener acceso al tratamiento y posteriormente operación, los médicos consideran que es cuestión de meses para que su hígado deje de funcionar. Por eso estamos pidiendo de su donación, con lo que puedan ya que cualquier contribución significa mucho para nuestra familia.
