Hola, mi nombre es Adriana y estoy pidiendo ayuda para mi perrita de servicio, Opal.

Opal tiene 5 años, nació el 16 de agosto del 2020, y es literalmente mi soul dog. Ella ha sido mi apoyo emocional, mi compañera diaria, y la alegría de todos los que la conocen.

Hace unas semanas, empezó con lo que parecía ser una alergia normal: estornudos y los ojitos llorosos. Pensamos que era algo simple, pero hace unos días uno de sus ojos se inflamó muchísimo. Cuando la llevamos al veterinario, descubrieron que no era alergia… sino una masa que estaba causando una infección grave.

En estos últimos días todo se complicó. Hoy lunes, después de medicamentos, inyecciones y varios tratamientos, Opal entró en un estado letárgico donde prácticamente no responde. Ahora está hospitalizada, conectada a oxígeno y con tubos, peleando por su vida.

Los costos del tratamiento son muy altos, y necesitamos ayuda para poder continuar. Si dejamos de pagar, básicamente tendrían que detener todo… y eso significaría dejarla ir sin darle su oportunidad de luchar. Y yo no puedo rendirme con ella.

Opal ha sido amor para todos. Ahora necesito pedir ayuda para poder darle la oportunidad de recuperarse.

Hi, my name is Adriana and I’m asking for help for my service dog, Opal.

Opal is 5 years old, born on August 16, 2020, and she is truly my soul dog. She has been my emotional support, my daily companion, and the joy of everyone who meets her.

A few weeks ago she started showing what looked like simple allergies—sneezing and watery eyes. We treated it as something minor, but a few days ago one of her eyes became extremely swollen. When we took her to the vet, they discovered it wasn’t allergies at all… it was a mass causing a serious internal infection.

These past few days have been overwhelming. Today, after medications, injections, and several treatments, Opal went into a lethargic state where she barely responds. She’s now hospitalized, on oxygen and tubes, fighting for her life.

Her treatment is very expensive, and we need help to keep it going. If the payments stop, they would have to stop treatment… and that would mean letting her go without giving her a real chance. I can’t do that to her.

Opal has brought love to everyone around her. Now I’m asking for help to give her the chance to heal and stay with me.

Any donation, no matter the amount, helps us continue treatment and give Opal the opportunity to fight.
