Hello, my name is Adriana Morao, and the protagonist of this story is my father, Jesús Morao.
Before I tell you more about him, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read, share, and support us in any way you can.

There are many words to describe my father, but one stands out above the rest: resilient.
He has faced many challenges throughout his life — even from a young age — and he has always fought to move forward. As a father of four, he never gave up. He did everything in his power to raise us with love and to give us the tools we needed to follow our own paths. That’s why the word resilient defines him — because he faces adversity, adapts to life’s changes, and finds the strength to keep going.

Now, I want to share what he is currently going through: a battle that has lasted five years.

Five years ago, my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer, likely already spreading by the time it was discovered at stage 3. By God’s grace, surgery and regular follow-ups were enough to keep it under control at that time. Over the past five years, he has undergone constant testing.
But sadly, in June, we learned that the cancer has returned — this time in the form of a nodular lesion in the prostate bed, described by doctors as a proliferative lesion.

He now needs several medical procedures: imaging exams, hormone injections that cost $1,000 each, and radiotherapy (we are currently waiting to receive the full cost estimate for that). This is only phase one, aiming to contain the cancer and prevent metastasis. After that, we’ll face phase two — which may involve surgery or chemotherapy, depending on how things progress.

I’m asking, from the depths of my heart, for your help. Whether it’s by donating, sharing, or simply praying for my father, every gesture matters. I believe in a powerful God and in the miracle of healing.

I just want to be able to hug my dad again. This has been incredibly hard for me and my siblings — because as children, we always wish we could have our parents with us forever.

From the bottom of my soul, thank you for anything you can do to help.
May God bless you a million times over.
