A mi corta edad enfrento una enfermedad llamada queratocono: una condición visual, progresiva que ha ido robándome la vista poco a poco.

Hoy julio 2025 apenas distingo formas y luces. Mi diagnóstico es severo en ambos ojos, por lo que requiero un trasplante de córnea para no perder por completo lo poco que me queda de visión.

Hace apenas dos meses esta operación costaba $15.000, pero la inflación en Venezuela, aun en dólares va más rápido que el tiempo que me queda con visión útil.

Hoy día el costo total ya supera los $21.000, incluyendo estudios, medicinas y recuperación.

Un número que me atemoriza y paraliza mis esperanzas… porque sé que mientras ahorro de manera honesta, el reloj sigue corriendo.

Trabajo en tres lugares al mismo tiempo y he dado todo de mi para evitar incurrir en una recaudación de fondos y, aun así, hoy solo he logrado reunir el 8% del total a pagar.

Vivo con mi mamá, y siendo solo los dos, soy el pilar de mi pequeña familia; es por ello que hoy recurro a ti. si no puedes donar, ayúdame compartiendo esta campaña

Hi, my name is Jesús Herrera Wilger. I'm 24 years old, Venezuelan, and today I come to you with honesty and humility to share my story.

At a young age, I’m facing a condition called keratoconus—a progressive eye disease that has slowly been stealing my sight.

As of July 2025, I can barely distinguish shapes and light. My diagnosis is severe in both eyes, and I urgently need a corneal transplant to preserve what little vision I still have.

Just two months ago, the surgery cost around $15,000, but due to inflation in Venezuela—even in U.S. dollars—the price is rising faster than the time I have left with useful vision.

Today, the total cost has already exceeded $21,000, including medical exams, medications, and recovery.

It's a number that scares me… because while I save every dollar with integrity, time keeps moving forward.

I currently work three jobs and have done everything I can to avoid launching a fundraiser, but despite all efforts, I’ve only managed to save about 8% of the total cost.

I live with my mom, and being just the two of us, I am the main support of my small family. That’s why today, I turn to you.
