¡Ayúdame a estudiar mi Máster!

Mi nombre es Leonardo Manrique, tengo 23 años de edad y me gradué como Ingeniero Industrial de la Universidad Católica Andrés Bello en marzo del año 2022.

Este ha sido uno de los logros más importantes en mi vida, porque gracias a mi esfuerzo, dedicación incansable y el apoyo de las personas a mi alrededor, tanto familia como amigos, logré finalizar mi carrera en Venezuela.

Pude superar las dificultades que se me presentaron en el camino. Desde la pandemia que cambió mis últimos 3 semestres y no me permitió vivir momentos maravillosos junto a los grandes amigos que me regaló la universidad; pasando por estudiar en medio de una de las crisis socioeconómicas más importantes del continente, en medio de apagones, viviendo en hiperinflación sin saber si iba a poder pagar la universidad, enfrentando la muerte de mis abuelos, con incertidumbre del futuro y viendo como familiares y amigos se iban del país a buscar algo mejor y como jóvenes de mi edad morían asesinados durante protestas.

Esta experiencia me sacudió el espíritu, pero también me llenó de resiliencia, de ganas de comerme al mundo y lograr grandes cosas, de dar lo mejor de mí frente los retos que se me presenten en la vida y buscar soluciones a los problemas a los que me enfrente. Me motivó a siempre ir más allá, a no conformarme ante las circunstancias adversas y a nunca dejar de formarme y aprender cosas nuevas. 

Luego de este logro, la vida me está presentando una nueva oportunidad

maravillosa para seguir avanzando en mi carrera profesional:

En diciembre de 2022, inicié el proceso de aplicación para un programa de Máster en Analítica de Negocios, en Hult International Business School.

El día 9 de enero de 2023, recibí la emocionante noticia de mi aceptación para el programa en su sede de San Francisco, para iniciar en el mes de septiembre de 2023.

Luego de la emoción y orgullo de saber que fui aceptado para estudiar en el exterior, me enfrento a un nuevo reto que quiero superar con todas mis fuerzas y el cual sé que no puedo lograr por mi cuenta, al menos no financieramente.

Para continuar con el proceso de admisión, necesito recaudar $5.000 para el día 19 de enero, el cual representa el depósito de confirmación de mi plaza en Hult. Esto me permitirá confirmar mi inscripción y continuar con el proceso de visado y el resto de trámites adicionales para estudiar en San Francisco.

Solicito apoyo para lograr pagar ese monto, debido a que la fecha límite del pago está a la vuelta de la esquina y lo que gano en mi trabajo, junto al apoyo que puedo recibir de mi familia, no es suficiente para conseguir esa cantidad de dinero. 

Quiero alcanzar este sueño, deseo estudiar y vivir en una ciudad tan innovadora y diversa como San Francisco. Quiero que esa experiencia me permita seguir creciendo y sobre todo mejorar mi calidad de vida y la de mi familia en Venezuela.

En este momento, mi principal prioridad es lograr recaudar los $5.000. Luego de hacerlo, quiero seguir apelando a la solidaridad de las personas que tengan la posibilidad de apoyar la campaña y destinarla al pago de los siguientes gastos:

El costo de la matrícula del programa es de $58.810, pero dicho monto se redujo gracias a que tuve la oportunidad de aplicar a 2 becas que ofrece (Entrepreneurial Impact y Future Leader) y me da mucha alegría decir que fui aceptado en ambas.

Esto quiere decir que el monto restante a pagar de la matrícula, luego de las becas y el depósito de confirmación, sería de $42.810, dividido en cuotas de $14.211, $15.401 y $13.201.

Para pagar las cuotas de la matrícula, utilizaré la modalidad de préstamos estudiantiles ofrecida por Hult, pero igualmente solicito apoyo para lograr cubrir $5.000 del monto de la primera cuota de $14.211, la cual debe ser pagada antes del 1ro de junio de 2023. De esa forma, el monto de los préstamos estudiantiles se reduciría y lo que debo pagar al finalizar mis estudios sería menor. 

Esta es una oportunidad muy importante y valiosa para mí, la cual deseo aprovechar al máximo para seguir aprendiendo y seguir creciendo tanto profesional como personalmente; es un nuevo capítulo de mi vida y un sueño que quiero hacer realidad.

¡Help me to study my Master’s Degree!

My name is Leonardo Manrique, I am 23 years old and I graduated as an Industrial Engineer from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in March 2022.

This has been one of the most important achievements of my life, because thanks to my effort, dedication and the support of family and friends, I was able to get my degree in Venezuela.

I was able to get through the hardships I’ve faced down the road. From the pandemic that changed my last 3 semesters and it didn’t allow me to live more special moments alongside the wonderful friends that college gave me; studying in the middle of one of the hardest socioeconomic crisis of the continent, in the middle of energy blackouts, living in hyperinflation without knowing if I could pay for college, facing the death of my grandparents, with uncertainty of the future, watching family and friends leave the country for better opportunities and seeing how people of my age were murdered during protests.

This experience shook my spirit, but it also filled me with resilience, with desire of achieving great things, to give my best when facing the challenges that life presents, to find solutions to the problems I face. It motivated me to always go beyond, to never conform against adverse circumstances and to never stop learning new things.

After achieving this wonderful accomplishment, life is presenting me with a special

opportunity to keep growing my professional career. In December 2022, I began the application process for a Master’s in Business Analytics

program at Hult International Business School.

On January 9th, I received the exciting news of my acceptance to the program at their San Francisco campus to start in September 2023.

After feeling the pride and emotion of being accepted to study abroad, I knew I was facing a new challenge that I want to overcome and which I know I can’t achieve on my own, at least not financially.

To continue with the admission process, I need to raise $5,000 by January 19th, which is the deposit to confirm my seat at Hult. This will allow me to receive my letter of admission from Hult and continue with the visa process and the remaining paperwork to be able to study in San Francisco.

I’m requesting for financial support to pay this amount, because the payment deadline is soon and the money I earn at my job, besides the support I could receive from my family, is not enough to collect this amount of money so quickly.

I want to achieve this dream. I want to study and live in a city as innovative and diverse as San Francisco. I want this experience to allow me to continue growing, to reach new places and to improve my quality of life and that of my family in Venezuela.

At this moment, my main priority is to raise the $5,000. After doing so, the support for the payment of the following expenses will be much needed and incredibly appreciated:

The tuition fee of the program is $58,810, but this amount was reduced when I had the opportunity to apply for 2 scholarships offered by Hult (Entrepreneurial Impact and Future Leader) and I'm very happy to announce that I was accepted in both.

This means that the remaining amount of tuition to be paid, after scholarships and the confirmation deposit, would be $42,810, divided into separate installments of $14,211, $15,401 and $13,201.

To pay these fees, I will use the student loans offered by Hult, but I’m still requesting for

support to cover $5,000 of the first amount of $14,211, which must be paid by June 1, 2023. In that way, the amount of the student loans would be reduced.

This is a once in a lifetime and extremely valuable opportunity and I want to make the most of it to continue learning and growing both professionally and personally; it is a new chapter of my life and a dream I want to make come true.
