Mi nombre es Mairan Rivera y adjunto les dejo la historia que redactó mi esposo (Daniel Castejon)
Soy un Ingeniero Industrial, viviendo en Florida. 30 años, trabajador, sano, papa de Marcela (4 años), vivo con ella y mi esposa en Fort Lauderdale Florida, Estados Unidos desde hace un poco mas de dos años.
En Noviembre 16 2017 fui al hospital por un insoportable dolor en mi espalda, en el escaneo tomografico computarizado salieron algunas masas que indicaron a la médico residente un posible cancer.
Despues de ser admitido y de varios estudios, un linfoma fue hallado en el cuello, un tumor cancerigeno en el riñón izquierdo y otra masa afectando las costillas. (La razon del dolor)
Me hicieron una biopsia en el cuello, dando positivo para cancer de riñon, muy raro para mi edad segun la opinión del Oncologo. Es avanzado, dijo, y agresivo. Debemos atacar ya! Aun cuando los resultados no son definitivos. Debemos esperar la respuesta de un patologo.
Me colocaron un Port a Cath, para comenzar quimioterapia, despues cambiaron de opinión, Comenzamos tratamiento con unas pildoras de quimioterapia media llamada Votrient, con efectos secundarios extraños, cambio de coloracion en el cabello y la piel, pero al parecer dando resultado ya que la masa del cuello estaba reduciendo de tamaño. Las pastillas se terminaron, el seguro no cubre la siguiente dosis, conseguimos para la gloria de Dios una fundacion que las ubicó, pero estuve casi un mes sin tomarlas y perdimos lo que habiamos conseguido.
El problema viene cuando el resultado final de la biopsia esta listo. Positivo cancer originado en el ducto colectivo del riñon, con metastasis en hueso, un tipo de cancer con no mas de 40 casos registrados en el mundo. Tasas de supervivencia desconsolantes. Quimioterapias sin resultados.
Esta noticia ha cambiado mi vida, mi corazon anhela seguir viviendo para ver crecer a mi hija. Para darle lo que necesita. Para estar con ella cuando me necesite.
Haciendo una investigación conseguimos un tratamiento de inmunoterapia que ataca las células cancerígenas paulatinamente hasta matarlas.
Mi seguro no cubre ese tratamiento, ayúdame a tener una segunda oportunidad. Tengo fe en que Dios me va a proveer de lo que necesito, incluyendo mi salud, pero debo ocuparme en la tierra para que El cumpla lo que prometio desde el cielo.

I am a Industrial Engineer, 30 years old, worker, healthy, Marcela's dad (4 years old) I live with her and my wife in Fort Lauderdale, Florida since a little bit more then 2 years.
I went to the hospital on Novermber 16th last year because of a terrible back pain, they did a computed tomography scan to find some masses that made the Doctors think about a cancer.
I was admitted on the same day, after several studies, a lymphoma was found in the neck, a cancer tumor in the left kidney and another mass affecting the ribs. (The reason for the pain)
I had a biopsy in the neck, being positive for kidney cancer, very rare for my age according to the opinion of the Oncologist. It is advanced, he said, and aggressive. We must attack now! Even when the results are not definitive. We must wait for the response of a pathologist.
They put me a Port a Cath, to start chemotherapy, then they changed their minds, We started treatment with some medium chemotherapy pills called Votrient, with strange side effects, change of color in the hair and skin, but apparently giving results as the mass on the neck was getting smaller. The pills were finished, the insurance does not cover the next dosis, we obtained for the glory of God a foundation that provided us with them, but I was almost a month without taking them and we lost what we had achieved.
The problem comes when the final result of the biopsy is ready. Positive cancer originated in the collective duct of the kidney, with metastasis in bone, a type of cancer with no more than 40 registered cases in the world. Disconsolate survival rates. Chemotherapies without results.
This news has changed my life, my heart longs to continue living to see my daughter grow. To give her whatshe need. To be with her when she needs me.
Doing research we get an immunotherapy treatment that attacks the cancer cells gradually until they are killed.
My insurance does not cover that treatment, that is the reason why I ask you to help me to have a second chance. I have faith that God will provide me with everything I need, including my health, but I must occupy myself on earth so that He will fulfill what He promised from heaven.
