Hello, my name is Kenya Milagros Bañaga Silva. I recently turned 18 years old and graduated from high school with many dreams and plans for my future, including studying Dentistry.

However, in July of this year, my life unexpectedly changed. I began experiencing symptoms that at first we thought might be temporary. One of them was paralysis on one side of my face. When we went to the doctor, we were told that these symptoms were not normal and that I needed further testing.

After four MRI scans and numerous medical tests, and after three months of uncertainty and expenses that placed an enormous financial burden on my family, we finally received a preoperative diagnosis: “ring-shaped lesion in the left middle cerebellar peduncle.”

I recently underwent my first surgery and I am currently in the intensive care unit. Unfortunately, this is only the beginning of a long journey, as I still need further testing, treatment, rehabilitation, and whatever additional care my doctors determine is necessary for my recovery.

My family has used nearly all of the financial resources we had available to face this situation. That is why I am reaching out today to ask for your help.

Any donation, no matter how small, can make a meaningful difference for me and my family. If you are not in a position to donate, you can still help tremendously by sharing this post so that it can reach more people.

My greatest wish is to recover, continue my education, and one day fulfill my dream of becoming a dentist.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading my story, for sharing, for donating, and for supporting me during this incredibly difficult time.

God bless you, and thank you for being part of this fight.
