Querida comunidad, hoy queremos compartir la historia de Amanda, una mujer increíble de solo 33 años, mamá amorosa de dos hijos de 6 años, esposa, amiga y trabajadora incansable. Amanda siempre ha sido una luz para quienes la rodean, brindando alegría, fuerza y apoyo en los momentos más difíciles.

El 12 de noviembre Amanda recibió el diagnóstico de cáncer de cuello uterino en estadio 3, un tipo agresivo que requiere iniciar quimioterapia, radioterapia y braquiterapia de manera urgente. Apenas el 19 de noviembre conocimos las alternativas de tratamiento y, por el corto tiempo, solo se ha podido conseguir el presupuesto de la radioterapia; aún estamos a la espera del presupuesto de la braquiterapia. Su equipo médico fue claro: mientras más rápido reciba el tratamiento completo, mejores serán sus posibilidades de superar esta enfermedad. Lamentablemente, Amanda no cuenta con seguro médico y los hospitales públicos en Venezuela no tienen los equipos necesarios para brindarle la radioterapia que necesita de forma segura, inmediata y recurrente, en paralelo a la quimioterapia. Si se espera más tiempo, el cáncer podría avanzar rápidamente a metástasis, reduciendo drásticamente sus posibilidades de recuperación.

Por eso hemos abierto esta campaña: para recaudar los fondos necesarios lo antes posible y darle a Amanda la oportunidad de luchar con todas las herramientas disponibles. Los fondos recaudados serán transferidos directamente a las clínicas privadas para cubrir los costos del tratamiento y darle la oportunidad de recuperar su salud y seguir junto a su familia y amigos. Cada aporte, sin importar el monto, será un paso más hacia su recuperación. Si no puedes donar, compartir esta campaña también es una gran ayuda. Today we want to share the story of Amanda, an incredible 33-year-old woman—loving mother of two 6-year-old children, wife, friend, and tireless worker. Amanda has always been a light to those around her, offering joy, strength, and support even in the most difficult moments.

On November 12, Amanda received a diagnosis of stage 3 cervical cancer, an aggressive type that requires urgent treatment with chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and brachytherapy. We only learned about the available treatment options on November 19, and because time is so limited, we have only been able to secure the estimate for the radiotherapy so far; we are still waiting for the cost of the brachytherapy. Her medical team was clear: the sooner she receives the full treatment, the better her chances of overcoming this disease.

Unfortunately, Amanda does not have medical insurance, and public hospitals in Venezuela do not have the necessary functioning equipment to provide the radiotherapy she urgently needs—safely, immediately, and repeatedly, in parallel with chemotherapy. Waiting any longer could allow the cancer to progress rapidly into metastasis, drastically reducing her chances of recovery.

This is why we have created this campaign: to raise the necessary funds as quickly as possible and give Amanda the opportunity to fight with every tool available. All funds raised will be transferred directly to private clinics to cover the cost of her treatment and give her the chance to regain her health and remain by the side of her family and friends.
