Greetings

As many of you know, on October 17, 2024, I woke up with no strength or feeling from the waist down, I was in the hospital for 10 days and then in a rehabilitation hospital for 6 weeks. After 4 MRIs, blood tests, a catheterization and extraction of spinal fluid, I was diagnosed with *Transverse Myelitis* I was given a 5-day round of Steroids and 5 more days of IVIG to start treatment.

Now I continue rehabilitation at home but I still cannot walk and I do not have control of my basic needs.

The recovery is slow but I am positive and they know I am going for it!!

However, my savings are already starting to dwindle, and my sick leave from work is coming to an end and I will be laid off. This would leave me without a medical plan and soon there will be more tests, therapies and expenses that I must incur to adapt the house and continue the treatments.

Thank you for the positive energies and vibes, the good wishes you have sent me, the calls from old friends and family with whom I had lost contact.

Como muchos saben el pasado 17 de Octubre del 2024 me levanté sin fuerza ni sensación desde la cintura para abajo , estuve en el hospital 10 días y luego en un rehabilitation Hospital por 6 semanas . Después de 4 MRIs , pruebas de sangre , un cateterismo y extraccion de fluido espinal me diagnosticaron *Transverse Myelitis* Me dieron un round de 5 días de Steroids y 5 días más de IVIG para empezar a tratar .

Ahora continúo rehabilitación en casa pero aun no camino y no tengo control de mis necesidades basicas.

La recuperación es lenta pero estoy positivo y saben que voy Pa encima!!

Sin embargo ya los ahorros empiezan a mermar aparte de que la licencia de enfermedad del trabajo se acaba y me daran de baja . Esto me dejaria sin plan medico y pronto vienen más pruebas, terapias y gastos en los que debo incurrir para adaptar la casa y continuar los tratamientos.

Gracias por las energias y vibras positivas ,los buenos deseos que me han enviado, las llamadas de viejos amigos y familiares con los que habia perdido contacto .

Todos sus mensajes me dan fuerza.
