Ayuda para transplante de riñón - Help for kidney transplant

Hola, soy Shareni, tengo 29 años, tengo un trabajo de oficina como muchas personas de mi edad. Me gustan los juegos de mesa, leer y tocar el bajo. Hoy me encuentro aquí por un tema muy personal: me han diagnosticado falla renal y mi única esperanza para un futuro saludable es un transplante de riñón.

El 24 de Febrero me encontraba de camino a casa al salir del trabajo cuando comencé a tener dolores en el pecho y hormigueo en las manos. No sentí que fuera normal así que fui al seguro social donde detectaron una crisis de hipertensión (240/180), me inyectaron un analgésico y me dejaron ir con la instrucción de tomarme la presión de nuevo en la noche y regresar en la mañana con mi médico familiar

Durante la tarde notamos que mi presión no iba bajando, al contrario, iba subiendo, así que consultamos a un familiar que nos recomendó buscar atención médica de urgencia.

Al llegar al hospital me hicieron un electrocardiograma donde descubrieron que mi corazón estaba más grande de lo normal y análisis de sangre, donde descubrieron que tengo falla renal grado 5, lo que significa que mi única opción actualmente es un transplante de riñón ya que tengo un 5% de función renal.

Afortunadamente tengo un posible donador: mi papá, y actualmente nos encontramos haciendo los análisis necesarios para el protocolo de transplante, el problema es que aunque yo tengo seguro médico de gastos mayores, mi papá no, y mi seguro desafortunadamente no cubre los gastos de mi donador

Tener esta cirugía significaría para mi el recuperar mi vida y poder pasar muchos años más con mi familia

Por este motivo hoy pido su ayuda: los fondos recaudados se destinarán para cubrir la cirugía de de mi papá. Toda donación, sin importar la cantidad, me acerca más a a una segunda oportunidad para vivir.

Agradezco del fondo de mi corazón su tiempo al leer mi historia. Ya sea que esté en sus posibilidades donar o simplemente compartir mi historia, todo apoyo es invaluable para mí y mi familia. Espero que juntos podamos hacer realidad este transplante.

Hi, I’m Shareni, I’m 29 years old, and I have an office job like many people my age. I enjoy board games, reading, and playing the bass. Today, I’m here because of a very personal matter: I’ve been diagnosed with kidney failure, and my only hope for a healthy future is a kidney transplant.

On February 24th, I was on my way home after work when I started feeling chest pain and tingling in my hands. It didn’t feel normal, so I went to the social security hospital, where they detected a hypertensive crisis (240/180). They gave me a painkiller injection and sent me home with instructions to check my blood pressure again that night and return in the morning to see my family doctor.

During the afternoon, we noticed that my blood pressure wasn’t going down—on the contrary, it kept rising. So, we consulted a family member who recommended seeking emergency medical care.

When I arrived at the hospital, they performed an electrocardiogram, which revealed that my heart was larger than normal, and blood tests showed that I have stage 5 kidney failure. This means my only option right now is a kidney transplant, as I currently have only 5% kidney function.

Fortunately, I have a potential donor: my dad. We are currently undergoing the necessary tests for the transplant protocol. The problem is that while I have major medical insurance, my dad doesn’t, and unfortunately, my insurance doesn’t cover the expenses for my donor.

Having this surgery would mean regaining my life and being able to spend many more years with my family.

This is why I’m asking for your help today: the funds raised will go toward covering my dad’s surgery costs. Any donation, no matter the amount, brings me closer to a second chance at life.
