Hola, me llamo Kristen y estoy recaudando fondos para ayudar a Miguelito, un pequeño gatito rescatado de solo 7 semanas que actualmente lucha por su vida en la UCI del Hospital UPV en Valencia tras desarrollar una sepsis causada por parvovirus felino.

Miguelito fue rescatado junto a su hermana Mochi hace apenas unas semanas. Desgraciadamente, a pesar de todos los esfuerzos veterinarios y de haber luchado con una fuerza increíble, Mochi falleció tras contraer el mismo virus.

Durante los últimos días, Miguelito ha necesitado dos transfusiones de plasma y una transfusión de sangre para poder seguir luchando por su vida. Los gastos veterinarios ya ascienden aproximadamente a 4.000€.

Hasta el momento ya hemos conseguido pagar 1.959 € nosotras mismas, pero los costes siguen creciendo y necesito ayuda para poder continuar con su tratamiento y hospitalización.

Cualquier ayuda, por pequeña que sea, puede marcar una enorme diferencia. Y si no puedes donar, compartir la historia de Miguelito y Mochi es una de las mejores maneras de ayudar.

Además, he tomado una decisión personal. Cuando todo esto termine, me comprometo a donar una cantidad igual al total recaudado a asociaciones locales de protección animal, de forma progresiva a lo largo del tiempo. Mochi no tuvo el final que todos esperábamos, pero espero que su historia pueda ayudar a otros animales a tener una oportunidad que quizá de otro modo no habrían tenido.

La historia de Miguelito y Mochi

Hace apenas unas semanas encontré a Miguelito y a su hermana Mochi abandonados en un camino en Onda, Castellón. Esperé hasta el atardecer por si su madre regresaba, pero nunca volvió. Eran demasiado pequeños para sobrevivir solos, así que me los llevé a casa y empecé a darles biberón para ayudarlos a salir adelante.

Poco a poco recuperaron fuerzas, y tanto Miguelito como Mochi empezaron a mostrar sus enormes personalidades. Los dos eran completamente inseparables: siempre juntos, jugando, durmiendo y cuidándose mutuamente.

Miguelito es juguetón y glotón, mientras que Mochi era hiper cariñosa y curiosa. Además, tenía un ronroneo tan fuerte que parecía un pequeño motor diésel.

Ambos han luchado contra el parvovirus felino y con necesidad de atención veterinaria intensiva.

Miguelito permanece hospitalizado en estado crítico en la UCI del Hospital UPV de Valencia. Durante los últimos días ha sufrido un empeoramiento grave provocado por shock séptico y ha necesitado:

Mochi también dio positivo en parvovirus felino y fue ingresada en Onda bajo tratamiento y vigilancia veterinaria constante. A pesar de todos los esfuerzos realizados por el equipo veterinario y de la enorme lucha que demostró siendo tan pequeña, Mochi no consiguió superar la enfermedad.

Su pérdida ha sido devastadora, pero estoy profundamente agradecido de haber podido darle una oportunidad y de que recibiera toda la atención veterinaria posible hasta el final.

Parte de esta campaña también ha servido para que Mochi pudiera luchar hasta el último momento con las mejores opciones disponibles, incluyendo:

Nunca imaginé enfrentar una situación así después de rescatarlos y, sinceramente, la pérdida de Mochi me ha roto el corazón. Ahora todo mi esfuerzo está centrado en darle a Miguelito la oportunidad de seguir luchando y superar esta enfermedad.

Hi, my name is Kristen and I am raising funds to help Miguelito, a 7-week-old rescue kitten who is currently fighting for his life in the ICU at Hospital UPV in Valencia after developing sepsis caused by feline parvovirus. Miguelito was rescued alongside his sister, Mochi, just a few weeks ago. Sadly, despite the incredible efforts of the veterinary teams and r own determination to keep fighting, Mochi passed away after contracting the same virus. So far, we have managed to pay €1,959 ourselves, but the costs continue to grow and I need help to continue covering his treatment and hospitalisation. Any help, no matter how small, can make a huge difference.

The story of Miguelito and Mochi

A little over a month ago, I found Miguelito and Mochi abandoned on a path in Onda, Spain. I waited until sunset in case their mother came back, but she never did. They were too small to survive on their own, so I took them home and started bottle-feeding them to help them pull through.

Little by little, they regained their strength, and both Miguelito and Mochi began to show their huge personalities. The two of them were completely inseparable: always together, playing, sleeping, and looking after each other.

Miguelito is playful and hungry, while Mochi was incredibly affectionate and very curious. She also had such a loud purr that she sounded like a little diesel engine.

Both have fought or are fighting feline parvovirus and need intensive veterinary care.

Miguelito remains hospitalised in critical condition in the ICU at Hospital UCV in Valencia. Over the past few week he has suffered a serious deterioration caused by septic shock and has needed:

- Two plasma transfusions

- One blood transfusion

- Intensive fluid therapy

- Intravenous medication and antibiotics

- Nutritional support and constant monitoring

Mochi also tested positive for feline parvovirus and was admitted to a veterinary clinic in Onda, where she received constant treatment and monitoring. Despite the incredible efforts of the veterinary team and the determination she showed despite being so small, Mochi was unable to overcome the disease.

Losing her has been heartbreaking, but I am deeply grateful that we were able to give her a chance and ensure she received the best veterinary care possible until the very end.

Part of this fundraiser helped Mochi keep fighting for as long as she could with the best care available, including:

• Hospitalisation and infectious isolation

• Blood tests and veterinary monitoring

• Fluid therapy and medication

• Continuous observation

• A plasma transfusion

I never imagined facing a situation like this after rescuing them and, honestly, losing Mochi has broken my heart. Now all of my efforts are focused on giving Miguelito the chance to keep fighting and overcome this disease.
