Hoy más que nunca, nuestra familia necesita tu ayuda. María Amelia Di Fatta, de 50 años, fue diagnosticada hace apenas unas semana con cáncer de ovarios. Su vida, la de nuestra madre y la nuestra ha cambiado en un instante. Ahora luchamos contrarreloj para darle una oportunidad de vida.

María es luz en medio de cualquier tormenta: idealista, trabajadora, generosa, siempre pendiente de quienes ama. Jamás ha dudado en ponerse ella misma en segundo lugar para cuidar de los demás, especialmente de mi mamá, a quien acompaña en Lima, Perú, aunque nosotros somos de Venezuela. No pudieron emigrar con nosotros a Estados Unidos, y hoy enfrentamos a distancia esta dura batalla.

La pérdida de nuestro padre, sus propias enfermedades pasadas, y ahora este diagnóstico, han sido golpes duros... pero María no se rinde. Quiere seguir luchando, quiere vivir, quiere seguir siendo esa hermana, hija, tía, cuñada, prima, sobrina y amiga que todos amamos profundamente.

Estamos recaudando fondos para cubrir su operación urgente y el tratamiento médico posterior. Necesitamos al menos $15,000 para comenzar, pero los costos podrían aumentar. Cada minuto cuenta.

She has never hesitated to put herself second to care for others, especially our mother, whom she accompanies in Lima, Peru, although we are originally from Venezuela.
