Hi everyone,

For those who know me, you know that asking for help has never been easy for me. However, today I’m reaching out to ask for support for my mum, who lives in Venezuela and has been battling leukemia for over 10 years.

My siblings, close family, and I have done everything possible to cover her treatment, but the situation in Venezuela has made it very difficult to access medications through public institutions. This has forced us to turn to the private sector for some of the medicines, which are extremely expensive.

My brother and I live abroad with limited resources to help, while my sister, who remains in Venezuela, has been working miracles to support her. Despite all our efforts, the financial burden has become unsustainable.

My mum’s next chemotherapy treatment costs more than we can currently afford. Although the total amount exceeds what I’m asking for here, any contribution, no matter how small, would be an immense help and give her the chance to keep fighting and reunite with her children and grandchildren.

Hola a todos,

Para quienes me conocen, saben que pedir ayuda nunca ha sido fácil para mí. Sin embargo, hoy recurro a ustedes para pedir apoyo para mi mamá, quien vive en Venezuela y lleva más de 10 años luchando contra la leucemia.

Mis hermanos, mi familia cercana y yo hemos hecho todo lo posible para costear su tratamiento, pero la situación en Venezuela ha hecho muy difícil conseguir los medicamentos a través de instituciones públicas, obligándonos a buscar el sector privado para algunos, que son extremadamente costosos.

Mi hermano y yo estamos fuera del país y con recursos limitados, mientras que mi hermana, que sigue en Venezuela, ha hecho milagros para ayudarla. A pesar de nuestros esfuerzos, la carga económica es insostenible.

El próximo tratamiento de quimioterapia de mi mamá excede lo que podemos cubrir. Aunque el monto total es mayor que lo que solicito aquí, cualquier ayuda, por pequeña que sea, será un alivio inmenso y una oportunidad para que ella siga luchando y pueda reencontrarse con sus hijos y nietos.
