Ayuda para Lucía: Justicia y Oración

Mi nombre es Gabriela, y soy la hija mayor de Lucía. Mi mamá es una mujer increíble, una madre adventista dedicada y esposa que ha vivido en los Estados Unidos desde que tenía 17 años. Durante 23 años, este país ha sido su hogar, donde crió a sus dos hijos y construyó una vida llena de fe y servicio.

En 2022, a mi mamá le diagnosticaron cáncer, pero gracias a su fe, dedicación y el cuidado de sus médicos aquí en los Estados Unidos, está en remisión desde 2023. Sus doctores, que la conocen y la han apoyado en su recuperación, están aquí, y es vital que continúe con sus controles médicos regulares.

El 1 de junio, mi mamá fue detenida por ICE debido a su situación migratoria, dejando a nuestra familia rota. Este doloroso momento llega poco después de dos grandes pérdidas: la muerte de su madre hace un mes y la de mi abuela paterna, quien falleció hace solo dos meses. Mi papá, en medio de su propio duelo, ahora enfrenta esta lucha para mantenernos unidos.

Estamos recaudando fondos para:

• Cubrir los costos legales de su caso.

• Apoyar a mi papá, mi hermano y a mí mientras enfrentamos esta difícil situación.

• Asegurar que mi mamá reciba una defensa justa para poder regresar a casa.

My name is Gabriela, and I am the oldest daughter of Lucía. My mom is an incredible woman—a dedicated Adventist mother and wife who has lived in the United States since she was 17 years old. For 23 years, this country has been her home, where she raised her two children and built a life full of faith and service.  

In 2022, my mom was diagnosed with cancer, but thanks to her faith, dedication, and the care of her doctors here in the United States, she has been in remission since 2023. Her doctors, who know her and have supported her recovery, are here, and it is vital for her to continue her regular medical check-ups. 

 On June 1st, my mom was detained by ICE due to her immigration status, leaving our family broken. This painful moment comes shortly after two great losses: the passing of her mother a month ago and my paternal grandmother, who passed away just two months ago. My dad, in the midst of his own grief, is now facing this struggle to keep us together. We are raising funds to:

 • Cover the legal costs of her case. 

 • Support my dad, my brother, and me as we navigate this difficult time. 

 • Ensure my mom receives a fair defense so she can return home.
