Meta de la campaña: $500,000 MXN (aproximadamente $28,000 USD)

Amanda Sánchez es una madre, hermana, amiga y tía muy querida por todos los que la conocen. Lamentablemente, en la noche de Nochebuena, sufrió una caída severa en la entrada de su casa, golpeándose la cabeza. Este accidente la dejó inconsciente, y por un breve momento, dejó de respirar. Su hija Leslie, con gran valentía, le realizó RCP, logrando que volviera a respirar.

Después del accidente, Amanda fue llevada rápidamente al hospital con la ayuda invaluable de vecinos que nos ayudaron a trasladarla en auto. En el hospital, sufrió una convulsión y fue ingresada a cuidados intensivos, donde permanece en coma inducido.

Hasta ahora, Amanda ha recibido atención médica intensiva, incluyendo varios estudios, como una resonancia magnética (MRI) y un angiograma. El angiograma confirmó que no sufrió un aneurisma roto, pero sí tiene hemorragias que requieren monitoreo continuo y cuidado especializado.

Los médicos han sido positivos sobre su progreso y respuesta al tratamiento, pero aún está intubada y bajo monitoreo constante. Mientras tanto, estamos considerando transferirla a un hospital público cuando salga de terapia intensiva y esté más estable. Esto ayudará a reducir los costos significativamente, ya que podrá utilizar su seguro médico.

Hemos establecido esta campaña con el objetivo de recaudar $500,000 pesos para cubrir las cuentas del hospital privado donde está siendo atendida actualmente y cualquier tratamiento de rehabilitación que pueda necesitar más adelante. En caso de recaudar más fondos de los necesarios, cualquier excedente será donado a una causa benéfica que anunciaremos más adelante.

Amanda Sánchez is a beloved mother, sister, friend, and aunt to so many. Unfortunately, on Christmas Eve, she suffered a severe fall at the entrance of her home, hitting her head. This left her unconscious, and for a brief moment, she stopped breathing. Her daughter Leslie bravely performed CPR, and Amanda started breathing again.

With the invaluable help of neighbors, Amanda was quickly transported to the hospital by car. At the hospital, she had a seizure and was admitted to intensive care, where she remains in an induced coma.

So far, Amanda has received intensive medical care, including several tests such as an MRI and an angiogram. The angiogram confirmed that she did not suffer a ruptured aneurysm, but she does have hemorrhaging that requires close monitoring and specialized care.

The doctors have been positive about Amanda’s progress and response to treatment, but she is still intubated and under constant observation. In the meantime, we are exploring the possibility of transferring her to a public hospital once she is stable and out of the ICU. This will significantly reduce costs, as she will be able to use her insurance there.

We’ve launched this campaign to raise $500,000 MXN to cover the private hospital bills where Amanda is currently being treated, as well as any rehabilitation she may need later. If we raise more funds than needed, any surplus will be donated to a charitable cause, which we will announce at a later time.
