AYUDA PARA LA OPERACIÓN DE NUESTRA MAMÁ TERESA

Hola,

Queridos familia y amigos,

Quisieramos hablarles un poquito de nuestra mamá, Maria Teresa Gonzalez Nuñez.

Una maravillosa mujer, esposa, madre, abuela, hija, hermana tía y amiga.

Muchos de ustedes la conocen y saben la increible mujer que es. Muchos de nuestros amigos tanto en México como en otros paises la conocen y han recibido una probadita del amor que ella da a tanta gente.

Su manera más especial de hacerlo es compartiendo su deliciosa comida, invitándonos a comer.

Muchas personas que lo han probado la contactan hasta meses y años después para pedirle una receta.

También ha sido una mujer que aparte de dedicarle la vida a sus hijos y familia ha ayudado a mucha gente.

Ella ha sido voluntaria por muchos años en grupos como:

-2 años en La Cruz Roja cuando llegamos a CanCun

- El grupo ARCOIRIS por 20 años ayudando al Hospital General y Centro de Atención Múltiple con cosas como:

Traer doctores del extranjero para hacerle operaciones a las familias con pocos recursos, poner un Banco de Sangre y recaudar fondos para comprar cosas como el 1er Aparato de Oscopía

-En el grupo del CRIT estuvo 5 años. Esta es una asociación en Mexico para ayudar a niños de meses a fines de primaria. Estos niños son de familias de bajos recursos a los que se les ayuda con 5 Programas: 1-Sindrome de Down, 2.-Deficiencia Mental,

3-Sordomudos, 4-Paralisis cerebral y 5-Estimulation Temprana

En Septiembre de 2024 se tropezó en su casa y al caer se fracturo el femur de su pierna derecha como se podrán imaginar fue un accidente muy doloroso y unos días después la tuvieron que operar poniéndole una placa para apoyarla. Gracias a Dios todo salió bien. Meses en cama, silla de ruedas y fisioterapia.

Con una actitud muy positiva y una fuerza de voluntad muy grande salió adelante!

Como mucha gente sabe el Servicio Médico Público en México está terrible y desafortunadamente el independiente es un gran negocio. Nuestra mamá tuvo que vender su coche para pagar parte de sus gastos de la operación y aunque entre todos estamos tratando de ayudar a los pagos la situación para todos nosotros como para mucha gente en el mundo, está muy difícil.

Otra cosa que no ayuda es la osteoporosis que tiene nuestra madre a sus 81 años, algo muy común para mujeres de su edad.

Todo iba muy bien hasta hace un par de meses que sintió dolor en su pierna y cuando la llevamos al doctor, tuvo radiografias y descubrieron que el hueso no está soldando y va a requerir otra operación, lo que implica empezar de nuevo todo; operación y periodo largo de recuperación.

Al principio como es de entenderse, estuvo muy triste pero a los que la conocen no les va a extrañar escuchar que tiene la actitud positiva de enfrentar esta batalla por 2a vez.

Aunque no es nada fácil para ninguno de nosotros hemos tomado la decisión de pedir ayuda a quien pueda y quiera de contribuir para poder pagar sus gastos de esta 2a operación y recuperación.

Por eso estamos aquí hablándoles de la guerrera que ahorita necesita ayuda y tanto ella como nosotros les estaremos infinitamente agradecidos pues como mucha gente, nos encontramos en una situación muy difícil.

Dear Family and Friends,

We would like to speak a little bit about my mum. Maria Teresa Gonzalez Nuñez.

A wonderful woman, wife, mother, grandma, daughter, sister, aunty and friend.

Many of you know her and know the incredible woman she is. Many of our friends in Mexico, as well as in other countries, know her and have received a taste of the love that she gives to so many people.

Her most special way of doing it is sharing her delicious food, inviting us to eat.

Many people that have tasted it, sometimes contact her even months and years later to ask her for a recipe.

She has also been a woman that, besides dedicating her life to her children and family, she has helped many people.

Our mum has been a volunteer for many years in groups like:

-2 years in the Red Cross when we arrived in CanCun.

-In the group Rainbow for 20 years helping the General Hospital and Centre for Underprivileged families in things like

bringing doctors from other countries to make medical operations to people that can not afford it, to develop a Blood Bank and raise money to buy things like the 1st Oscopia Instrument.

-In the CRIT group she was a member of for 5 years. This Association in Mexico is to help children from pre-school to the end of primary shcool age. These children are from families with low resources. They help with 5 Programs: 1-Down Syndrome, 2-Mental Deficiencies, 3-Deaf-mute, 4-Cerebral Paalsy and 5-Early Physical Therapy.

In September 2024 she tripped in her house, falling down. She fractured the femur on her right leg and as you can imagine it was very painful and a couple of days later they had to operate, puting a metal plate to help the bone mend and support it. Thank God everything was fine. Her recovery consisted of months in bed, using a wheel chair and physiotherapy.

With a very positive attitude she moved on with her recovery.

As many people know, the Public Medical Service in Mexico is terrible and unfortunately the private health service is very big business. Our mum had to sell her car to pay part of the expenses of the operation and although all of us are trying to help to pay, the situation for all of us, like for many people in the world, is not easy at the moment.

Another thing that is complicating her recovery, is the osteoporosis my mum has at 81years of age, something very common in women of her age.

Everything was going fine until a couple of months ago that she felt pain in her leg and when we took her to the doctor, had an X-ray and found out that the bone was not mending the way it should and to fix it is going to recquire another operation.

That means to start all over again; operation and long period to recover.

At the beginning, understandably, she was very sad. But for those of you that know her; you won't be surprised to hear that she has a very positive attitude to battle for a 2nd time.

Even though it's not easy for any of us, we have made the decision to ask for help to anybody that can and wants to help to pay the expenses of her 2nd operation and recovery.

This is why we are talking here to you, about a "warrior" that right now needs help and she, as all of us will be, so grateful, as we are, like many people, in difficult financial situation.
