Javier Francisco Cartagena is a young Puerto Rican who survived in 2011 to 21 surgeries in his intestine after suffering two peritonitis. This year he had complications in his abdomen and had an intestinal fistula so he has been operated on 6 times. He needs special abnominal belts, medical equipment for the home (once he leaves the hospital), as well as Javier will not be able to work for around 6 months.
