Child Protective Services exists for one reason—to protect the most vulnerable amongst us. With sisters Mia (age 14) and Hannah (age 12) Saltos, CPS failed miserably.
Within 24 hours of detaining the girls from their mother, Maria Saltos, Mia was dead and Hannah was hanging on for her life. On July 3, 2024, the girls were left unsupervised by a pool. Both were unable to swim. One is believed to have slipped and fallen in, and the other tried to save her. They were found clutching each other at the bottom of the pool. On July 8, 2024, Hannah was pulled from life support and died.
The girls and their siblings were taken from Maria following a domestic violence event. Maria had courageously defended her children and called the police on her attacker. Despite this, CPS accused Maria of failing to protect her children and took them from her.
Now Maria desperately needs help. Not only to afford the end-of-life expenses for Mia and Hannah, but also to fight to get her kids back. CPS is keeping Maria in the dark, withholding information about her case, and refusing to return the children. Please help Maria with her fight so she can get through this difficult time and get her children back.
