Este es el testimonio de Elvin Flores Gálvez, un joven de 14 años que ha estado luchando contra el sarcoma (cáncer) desde hace casi un año. En diciembre se cumplirá un año desde su diagnóstico.

Elvin ya no puede caminar y ha perdido la fuerza en sus piernas. No puede bañarse ni ir al baño sin la ayuda de sus padres, María Gálvez y José Flores. Cada día, esta familia vive con tristeza y dolor en el corazón al verlo sufrir.

Su madre, María, trabaja todos los días para cubrir los gastos básicos de la familia, aunque su corazón está con su hijo en casa. Elvin no puede asistir a la escuela y apenas come; cuando lo hace, es muy poquito. Últimamente, sus pies se han empezado a hinchar y a desarrollar llagas.

Elvin can no longer walk and has lost the strength in his legs. He cannot bathe or go to the bathroom without the help of his parents, María Gálvez and José Flores. Every day, this family faces deep sadness and pain in their hearts as they care for him.

His mother, María, goes to work every day to cover basic expenses for herself and the family, even though her heart remains with her son at home. Elvin can no longer attend school and barely eats; when he does, it is only a small amount. Recently, his feet have begun to swell and develop sores.
