Gracias por leerme, apoyarme y acompañarme en este proceso de sanación. Mi nombre es Denise Elizabeth. Soy artista del metal y trabajo por mi cuenta como profesora de orfebrería.

El año pasado, 2025, fue un año en el que estuve batallando contra un agresivo cáncer de seno por segunda vez en tres años. Durante los primeros seis meses estuve recibiendo quimioterapia intravenosa, lo cual me impidió trabajar debido al agotamiento que produce este tratamiento. Durante este proceso estuve hospitalizada por siete días con COVID.

En julio me realizaron una mastectomía bilateral y en agosto comencé otro tratamiento de quimioterapia preventiva en pastillas, el cual resulta ser más fuerte que la quimioterapia anterior y provoca mayor fatiga. Lo bueno de esta quimioterapia es que no me tumba el pelo y ya me empieza a crecer poco a poco. Durante este proceso estuve hospitalizada por nueve días, cuatro de ellos en intensivo, tras una cirugía de emergencia por una embolia pulmonar.

2025 ha sido un año muy fuerte para mí.

Este año me falta regresar al quirófano para finalizar la reconstrucción y terminar el tratamiento de quimioterapia preventiva. Una vez finalice estos últimos tratamientos, espero reintegrarme a mi trabajo aproximadamente en agosto.

En el verano del año pasado realicé una recaudación de fondos, la cual me ayudó mucho durante los últimos seis meses. Te agradezco enormemente si fuiste parte de quienes colaboraron. Hoy estoy realizando una SEGUNDA COLECTA, con la expectativa de poder recaudar para sostenerme por los próximos meses, hasta por fin poder volver a trabajar.

Esta situación ha generado una gran carga económica en mi vida y, con mucha humildad, pido tu ayuda para enfrentar gastos médicos y esenciales.

Me siento muy vulnerable al compartir esto, pero también profundamente agradecida con toda persona que pueda ayudarme con su aportación económica. Agradezco igualmente que puedan compartirlo para que más personas conozcan mi situación y puedan apoyarme en este camino.

Thank you for reading, supporting me, and accompanying me through this healing process. My name is Denise Elizabeth. I am a metal artist and I work independently as a metalsmithing instructor.

Last year, 2025, was a year in which I battled an aggressive breast cancer for the second time in three years. During the first six months, I underwent intravenous chemotherapy, which prevented me from working due to the exhaustion caused by this treatment. During this process, I was hospitalized for seven days with COVID.

In July, I underwent a bilateral mastectomy, and in August I began another preventive chemotherapy treatment in pill form, which has proven to be stronger than the previous chemotherapy and causes greater fatigue. The positive aspect of this chemotherapy is that it does not cause hair loss, and my hair has slowly begun to grow back. During this process, I was hospitalized for nine days, four of them in intensive care, following emergency surgery due to a pulmonary embolism.

2025 was a very challenging year for me.

This year, I still need to return to the operating room to complete my reconstruction and finish the preventive chemotherapy treatment. Once these final treatments are completed, I hope to return to work around August.

Last summer, I held a fundraising campaign that helped me greatly during the past six months. I am deeply grateful to those who were able to contribute. Today, I am launching a SECOND FUNDRAISER with the hope of raising enough funds to support myself for the coming months, until I am finally able to return to work.

This situation has created a significant financial burden in my life, and with great humility, I ask for your help in covering medical and essential expenses.

I feel very vulnerable sharing this, but also deeply grateful to everyone who is able to help me with a financial contribution. I also appreciate your help in sharing this fundraiser so that more people can learn about my situation and support me along this journey.
