Ayuda para comprar tiempo con mi mami.

Hola,

Soy Naomi, a los 22 años me dió un infarto cerebral que me mató casi la mitad del cerebro (hemisferio derecho) dejándome una gran cantidad de secuelas que aunque algunas ya han desaparecido o disminuido considerablemente tras años de rehabilitación, actualmente a mis 31 años, sigo teniendo hemiparesia izquierda (uso silla de ruedas y bastón), pérdida de visión del ojo izquierdo (uso anteojos y bastón verde) y problemas de memoria. A esto se le suman: Autismo de Alto Funcionamiento, epilepsia, y Síndrome de Anticuerpos Antifosfolípidos secundario a Lupus Eritematoso Sistémico.

Por otro lado, mi mamá, Karla, tiene 55 años. Fue diagnosticada hace años con Síndrome de Behçet, y una serie de problemas en las rodillas y columna, PERO recientemente le detectaron un tumor en la glándula pineal, otro en el hígado, y para cerrar, presenta una falla multisistémica en donde están comprometidos los riñones, hígado y colon.

Como podrás ver, nuestra condición de vida es muy particular y dependemos una de la otra económica y personalmente en nuestras actividades diarias.

Hemos luchado con gracia y mucha fuerza, somos personas que no se dan por vencidas, con un amor profundo por la vida y con una empatía que nos ha llevado siempre a ayudar a quien lo necesita; sin embargo, esta vez quienes necesitamos mucha ayuda somos nosotras.

Los gastos médicos son altísimos, urgentes y desafortunadamente nosotras ya no podemos costearlos más -teniendo a veces que decidir entre comer o atendernos-, por eso solicito tu ayuda para comprar tiempo con mi mami y por ende para mí. ¿Me ayudas por favor? ¡Gracias!

I'm Naomi. When I has 22 years old, I had a stroke that killed almost half of my brain (the right hemisphere), leaving me with a large number of sequels. Although some have disappeared or diminished considerably after years of rehabilitation, today at 31 years old, I still have left hemiparesis (I use a wheelchair and a cane), vision loss in my left eye (I use glasses and a green cane), and memory problems. Added to this are: High-Functioning Autism, epilepsy, and Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome secondary to Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.

My mother, Karla, is 55 years old. She was diagnosed years ago with Behçet's Syndrome and a series of problems with her knees and spine. BUT recently, she was diagnosed with a tumor in her pineal gland, another in her liver, and, to top it off, presents a multisystem failure involving her kidneys, liver, and colon.

As you can see, our living conditions are very unique, and we depend on each other financially and personally in our daily activities.

We have fought with grace and great strength. We are people who never give up, with a deep love for life and an empathy that has always led us to help those in need. However, this time we are the ones who need a lot of help.

The medical expenses are extremely high, urgent, and unfortunately, we can no longer afford them -sometimes having to decide between eating or taking care of ourselfs-. That's why I'm asking for your help to buy time with my mom and, therefore, for me. Would you help me please? Thank you!
