Help My Mom Beat Cancer—Again

Donation protected
Ten years ago, my mom beat cancer. Today she's fighting again—and this time, we need your help.

My mom, María Isabel, is 72 years old. She's a mother of four, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, and the heart of our family. In 2016, she overcame breast cancer with a strength that left us all speechless.

But this March, after months of misdiagnoses, a medical emergency revealed the worst news: the cancer is back, and it has severely compromised her liver.

I live in Portugal, but I flew to Caracas to care for her full-time.

Her body cannot wait. Literally.
Her liver and kidneys are at their limit, so conventional chemotherapy isn't an option. Her oncologist designed a carefully calibrated, fractionated treatment plan that requires specialized supervision every single week. Thanks to this, she made it out of the hospital and is now fighting from home. But if treatment stops for even one week, we lose all the ground we've gained.

We've already given everything we had.
The emergency hospitalization, surgery, and first weeks of treatment cost over $20,000. We emptied a lifetime of savings. Today, we're at zero.

What we need every week: $680–$730
  • Lab work (~$200–$250): 8+ mandatory tests before each chemo session to make sure her liver can handle the dose.
  • Chemotherapy & medications (~$180): Paclitaxel, Carboplatin, plus daily diuretics so she can breathe.
  • ‍ Oncologist supervision ($300): Due to her organ fragility, she requires her specialist's exclusive monitoring throughout treatment.

How can you help?
Donate what you can. $5, $10, $20... every contribution goes directly toward this week's treatment.

My mom spent 72 years taking care of everyone else. Now it's our turn to take care of her.
