Hola, mi nombre es Adrián Ferrer, tengo 27 años y soy de Paiporta (Valencia). No me considero un afectado por la DANA ya que solo he perdido mi moto y mi coche (por suerte mi familia y yo nos hemos salvado), pero he creado este crowdfunding para ayudar a todos mis amigos y vecinos de forma directa que sé de primera mano que han perdido sus casas y sus negocios de toda la vida del pueblo, mi pueblo.

Especialmente quiero ayudar a mi mejor amigo, Óscar López y a su novia Lydia. A pesar de ser la "generación de cristal", ellos ya habían conseguido formar un hogar, reformando una casa antigua en el centro del pueblo, desafortunadamente al lado del barranco del Poyo. Óscar y Lydia llevan trabajando desde la mayoría de edad, como muchos jóvenes, mientras estudiaban, y esta casa era el resultado de años de trabajo invertidos en crear su hogar. El desbordamiento del barranco que ha causado la destrucción, literalmente, de todo el pueblo, se ha llevado también por delante su casa mientras ellos estaban dentro. Casi pierden su vida, tuvieron que escapar por la terraza interior trepando sobre dos mesas y una escalera para llegar al piso de arriba.

Mi objetivo con este crowdfunding no es sólo ayudar a mi amigo Óscar, conozco de primera mano a decenas de personas que me encantaría ayudarles también económicamente y que van a necesitar el dinero para reconstruir sus casas y sus negocios. Mientras tanto, seguiré junto a todo el pueblo y los voluntarios que están viniendo, ayudando a toda la gente a limpiar y reconstruir sus hogares, negocios y su vida normal.

Si no quieres o no puedes donar, es igualmente necesaria la ayuda sobre el terreno, ayudando a limpiar miles de casas, bajos y garajes de Paiporta y el resto de pueblos afectados.

Hello, my name is Adrián Ferrer, I am 27 years old, and I am from Paiporta (Valencia). I don’t consider myself personally affected by the DANA since I only lost my motorcycle and car (fortunately, my family and I are safe), but I have created this crowdfunding to directly help all of my friends and neighbors who, from first-hand knowledge, have lost their homes and businesses…businesses that have been part of the town for generations. This is my town.

In particular, I want to help my best friend, Óscar López, and his girlfriend Lydia. Despite being part of the "glass generation," they had managed to build a home by renovating an old house in the center of the town, which unfortunately was right next to the Poyo ravine. Óscar and Lydia have been working since forever - even whilst studying. This house was the result of years of hard work and effort to create their home. The overflow of the ravine that caused the destruction of the town has also taken away their house - while they were inside. They almost lost their lives and had to escape through the interior terrace, climbing over two tables and a ladder to reach the upper floor.

My goal with this crowdfunding is not just to help my friend Óscar; I know dozens of people who I would love to help financially, and they will need the money to rebuild their homes and businesses. In the meantime, I will continue to be with the whole town and the volunteers who are coming, helping everyone clean and rebuild their homes, businesses, and their normal lives.

If you can’t donate money, physical help is just as essential—helping to clean thousands of homes, shops, and garages in Paiporta and the other affected towns in the surroundings.
