Me llamo Charo, soy modista de toda la vida, especializada en trajes de indumentaria valenciana, arreglos y trajes de novia (conocido en el pueblo como festeras). Debido a la catástrofe de la Dana en Valencia, concretamente en el municipio de Benetússer, dónde resido y tenía mi taller, lo he perdido absolutamente todo...materiales y trajes míos, telas y trajes de clientas que estaba acabando de hacer para las próximas presentaciones y las Fallas del 2025.

Me han quedado las cuatro paredes, esto es muy importante para mí, ya que es el esfuerzo de toda la vida, luchando y trabajando por llevar adelante mi familia y mi negocio y ofrecerle a mis clientas el mejor servicio posible.

Necesito que me ayudéis a recaudar fondos, para poder adquirir las máquinas de coser, hilos, agujas, tijeras, papel de patronaje, etc.; materiales necesarios para poder volver a poner en funcionamiento el taller y coser de nuevo.

Por último, quiero agradecer la comprensión y apoyo de mis clientas, y toda la ayuda desinteresada de amigos, familiares y voluntari@s que se han acercado durante estos días para poder limpiar y quitar todo el barro acumulado.

My name is Charo, and I have been a seamstress my whole life.

I specialize in traditional Valencian attire, alterations, and traditional bridal gowns (known locally as festeras). Due to the DANA disaster in Valencia, specifically in the town of Benetússer, where I live and had my workshop, I have lost absolutely everything—my materials, my own garments, fabrics, and pieces I was finishing for clients, meant for upcoming events and the 2025 Fallas.

All that remains are the four walls. This workshop is so important to me because it represents a lifetime of hard work and dedication, supporting my family and business, and providing my clients with the best possible service.

I would greatly appreciate any help in raising funds to replace sewing machines, thread, needles, scissors, pattern paper, and other essential materials. I need these resources to get my workshop back up and running and to begin sewing again.

Finally, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the understanding and support of my clients, as well as the selfless help from friends, family, and volunteers who have come over these past few days to help clean and remove the accumulated mud.
