Hola, mi nombre es margarita mendez y hoy estoy pidiendo ayuda para mi hijo de 19 años, quien fue detenido por ICE el día 22 de mayo. Como madre, esto ha sido una de las experiencias más dolorosas y difíciles que nuestra familia ha vivido.

Mi hijo es un buen joven, respetuoso, cariñoso y muy unido a su familia. Él nunca ha sido una mala persona. Siempre ha tratado de salir adelante y ayudar en casa. Sus 3 hermanitas lo aman y lo extrañan muchísimo todos los días, igual que nosotros sus padres. La casa se siente vacía sin él.

Además, mi hijo sufre de ansiedad y depresión, y necesita medicamentos recetados para poder mantenerse estable emocionalmente. Como mamá, me preocupa muchísimo su salud y cómo está enfrentando esta situación lejos de nosotros y encerrado.

Estoy creando esta recaudación porque necesitamos ayuda urgente para pagar un abogado de inmigración y poder luchar por su caso. Mi esposo es el único sustento de nuestra familia y en este momento no contamos con el dinero suficiente para cubrir todos los gastos legales y demás costos que vienen con esta situación tan difícil.

Nunca pensé tener que pedir ayuda de esta manera, pero haré todo lo posible por mi hijo. Cualquier donación, sin importar la cantidad, nos ayuda muchísimo. Y si no pueden donar, por favor compartan esta publicación y manténgannos en sus oraciones.

Mi hijo merece una oportunidad. Él tiene sueños, una familia que lo ama y personas esperando verlo regresar a casa. Como madre, solo quiero volver a abrazar a mi hijo y verlo bien otra vez.

Hello, my name is Margarita Mendez, and today I am asking for help for my 19-year-old son, who was detained by ICE on May 22nd. As a mother, this has been one of the most painful and difficult experiences our family has ever endured.

My son is a good young man—respectful, affectionate, and very close to his family. He has never been a bad person. He has always strived to get ahead and help out at home. His three little sisters love him and miss him terribly every single day, as do we, his parents. Our home feels empty without him.

Furthermore, my son suffers from anxiety and depression and requires prescription medication to remain emotionally stable. As a mother, I am deeply concerned about his health and how he is coping with this situation while being held away from us.

I have started this fundraiser because we urgently need help to pay for an immigration attorney so we can fight for his case. My husband is the sole provider for our family, and right now, we simply do not have enough money to cover all the legal fees and other costs associated with this incredibly difficult situation.

I never thought I would have to ask for help in this way, but I will do whatever it takes for my son. Any donation—no matter the amount—helps us tremendously. And if you are unable to donate, please share this post and keep us in your prayers.

My son deserves a chance. He has dreams, a family that loves him, and people waiting for him to return home. As a mother, all I want is to be able to hug my son again and see him doing well once more.
