Garay dedicó su vida a la medicina, siendo reconocida como anestesióloga especialista en cardiopatías congénitas cuyo trabajo brindó esperanza y sanación a innumerables niños y familias. Su compasión, habilidad y compromiso con salvar vidas jóvenes definieron tanto su carrera como su carácter. Más allá de su profesión, fue una madre amorosa de dos hijos, quienes permanecen en Nicaragua y eran el centro de su mundo. Su fortaleza, calidez y amor inquebrantable por su familia siempre serán recordados.

La Dra. Helen Garay falleció tras un trágico accidente mientras estaba en el extranjero. El mayor deseo de su familia es llevarla de regreso a Nicaragua para que reciba un funeral y descanso final apropiados, rodeada de sus seres queridos. Actualmente, la familia está recaudando fondos para cubrir los costos de repatriación, transporte y servicios funerarios en Nicaragua. Cualquier contribución, sin importar la cantidad, ayudará a honrar su vida y legado y a apoyar a sus hijos en este momento devastador.

Dr. Helen Garay, a devoted physician and beloved mother, passed away tragically on 12/14/2025 at the age of 32.

Originally from Nicaragua, Dr. Garay dedicated her life to medicine, earning recognition as a Anesthesiologist specializing in congenital heart disease whose work brought hope and healing to countless children and families. Her compassion, skill, and commitment to saving young lives defined both her career and her character.

Beyond her profession, she was a loving mother to two children, who remain in Nicaragua and were the center of her world. Her strength, warmth, and unwavering love for her family will always be remembered.

Dr. Helen Garay passed away following a tragic accident while abroad. Her family’s greatest wish is to bring her home to Nicaragua so she may receive a proper funeral and final resting place surrounded by loved ones.
