Hola! Somos Griselda y Gerardo - los padres de Sofía Palazuelos Félix.

Sofía es una joven estudiante, dedicada y apasionada por disfrutar su vida, con la familia y sus amistades. Quienes la conocemos sabemos que es una persona fuerte, responsable, lider y bondadosa. Siempre está ahí para ayudar, para sonreír y para dar más cuando se necesita. Tiene como fortuna el cariño de muchas personas a su alrededor. Pero hoy es ella quien necesita que la abracemos, acompañemos y de la ayuda posible.

Previo a octubre 2025, presentó sintomas algunos días, durante una revisión médica, fue sometida a una ventriculostomía. Posteriormente, se diagnsticó meningitis bacteriana.

Su vida se vio comprometida. Después de 2 meses en el hospital (incluido 1 mes en terapia intensiva), ella fue dada de alta. Durante este tiempo, los gastos de hospitalización resultaron muy elevados (el seguro de gastos médicos no funcionó). Actualmente ya en casa, Sofía requerirá por algunos meses, el apoyo de servicios de enfermería, rehabilitación física y neuro rehabilitación.

Hemos organizado esta campaña de recaudación, buscando el apoyo de la comunidad para cubrir los gastos de rehabilitación y médicos.

Hello! We are Griselda and Gerardo - Sofía Palazuelos's parents.

Sofía is a young student, dedicated and passionate about enjoying life with her family and friends. Those of us who know her know that she is a strong, responsible, and kind person. She is always there to help, to smile, and to give more when needed. She is fortunate to have the love of many people around her. But today, she is the one who needs our hugs, our support, and all the help we can get.

Prior to October 2025, she experienced symptoms for several days. During a medical checkup, she underwent a ventriculostomy procedure. Subsequently, she was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis.

Her life was in danger. After two months in the hospital (including one month in intensive care unit), she was discharged. During this time, the hospitalization costs were very high (the medical insurance did not cover them). Now at home, Sofía will require nursing care, physical rehabilitation, and neurorehabilitation services for several months.

We've organized this fundraising campaign, seeking community support to cover rehabilitation and medical expenses.
