Ayuda a nuestro padre a recuperar su salud

Hola! somos la familia de Emilio Pinero, estamos recaudando fondos para cubrir sus gastos medicos debido a los efectos secundarios de un adenocarcinoma, que se le fue detectado el 17/02/2021. Para nosotros y todos los que conocen a nuestro padre; el es una persona noble, bondadosa, integra en sus principios, responsable, trabajador, pilar fundamental para nosotras, sus dos hijas y nuestra madre, por ser un excelente y ejemplar padre y esposo. Al recibir el diagnostico nuestras bases tambalearon y nos invadio una sensacion de miedo abrumadora, sin embargo la fe estuvo y esta siempre presente, y es la que nos ha mantenido fuertes ante esta batalla. Somos de Venezuela y debido a la situacion pais, tuvimos que migrar a diferentes destinos en busca de un porvenir mejor, mis padres y hermana migraron a Bogota- Colombia, donde se encuentran actualmente. Recibir un diagnostico tan importante fuera de tu tierra y alejado de tus familiares y afectos, genera sensacion de incertidumbre tanto a nivel emocional, familiar y economico.

La historia comienza cuando tras un analisis de heces de rutina , se encuentra sangre oculta en la muestra; por lo que el medico sugiere realizar una colonoscopia, donde le encuentran una lesion tumoral ulcerada de 7 cm , en el sigmoide (colon). Tras someterse a una operacion el 25/04/2021, y basado en el posterior analisis (biopsia), dicho tumor habia sido infiltrante a todo el espesor de la pared con compromiso de la serosa y extension al tejido adiposo adyacente. Es por ello, que el oncologo decide empezar terapia dirigida mediante la administracion del farmaco Cabecitamina hace dos meses, aproximadamente. Semanas despues de la toma del medicamento, comienza a presentar los efectos secundarios de este tipo de quimioterapias, sin embargo estos fueron muy severos, a nivel cutaneo, empezo a quemarse la piel de su cara, presencia de urticaria en todo el cuerpo, hinchazon, conjuntivitis, aftas en boca y traquea, labios sangrantes. A nivel gastrico, diarrea constante junto con sangre abundante en las evacuaciones; todo lo ya explicado resulto en una urgente hospitalizacion este mes, que ya lleva casi tres semanas; se le esta administrando corticoesteroides, hidratacion y antibioticos, a los cuales ha generado resistencia a varios de ellos. A medida que avanzan los dias la situacion se ha vuelto mas delicada ya que la sintomatologia no mejora, al punto de generar una inmunosupresion con una cuenta blanca muy baja, que requirio su aislamiento. A raiz de esto comenzo a presentar infecciones, con presencia en los coprocultivos de bacterias y amebas, sumandosele el sintoma de la fiebre.

Nuestro padre se encuentra delicado por la deshidratacion, la debilidad y el desgaste fisico; no puede alimentarse bien debido a las aftas en boca y garganta que le impiden empezar a tener una dieta astringente, todo esto hace que su estadia en el hospital se haga cada vez mas larga y los gastos comienzan a sobrepasar nuestra capacidad de ahorro. Por nuestra condicion de inmigrantes y COVID, no contamos con un empleo actualmente que permita cubrir los gastos medicos y hospitalarios de nuestro padre.

Por otro lado, todo se ha vuelto cuesta arriba debido a que nuestra madre tambien vive las secuelas fisicas de haber padecido el COVID (contagiandose en el postoperatorio de nuestro padre) y mi situacion laboral actual me impide viajar de Espana a Colombia y colaborar con los gastos, nos encontramos al limite, pero con fuerza y esperanza.

Tenemos una fe y confianza plena en dios, en que saldremos de esta situacion pronto, sin embargo, necesitamos de su colaboracion y ayuda para costear los gastos medicos y todo lo que esta enfermedad involucra, cualquier ayuda que puedan aportar sera importante y bien recibida por nosotras. Estaremos enormemente agradecidas y desearemos que cada aporte se le multiplique a ustedes en salud y cosas buenas para ud y su familia.

We are from Venezuela and due to the country's situation, we had to migrate to different destinations in search of a better future. My parents and sister migrated to Bogota-Colombia, where they are currently. Receiving such an important diagnosis outside of your land and away from your relatives and affections, generates a feeling of uncertainty both at an emotional, family and economic level.

The story begins when after a routine stool analysis, occult blood is found in the sample; so the doctor suggests performing a colonoscopy, where they find an ulcerated tumor lesion of 7 cm, in the sigmoid (colon). After undergoing an operation on 04/25/2021, and based on the subsequent analysis (biopsy), this tumor had been infiltrating the entire thickness of the wall with involvement of the serosa and extension to the adjacent adipose tissue. For this reason, the oncologist decided to start targeted therapy by administering the drug Cabecitamin approximately two months ago. Weeks after taking the drug, he begins to present the side effects of this type of chemotherapy, however these were very severe, at the cutaneous level, the skin of his face began to burn, presence of hives all over the body, swelling, conjunctivitis, canker sores in the mouth and trachea, bleeding lips. At the gastric level, constant diarrhea along with abundant blood in the stools; Everything already explained resulted in an urgent hospitalization this month, which has already been going on for almost three weeks; He is being administered corticosteroids, hydration and antibiotics, to which he has generated resistance to several of them. As the days progress, the situation has become more delicate since the symptoms do not improve, to the point of generating an immunosuppression with a very low white count, which required its isolation. As a result of this, he began to present infections, with presence in stool cultures of bacteria and amoebas, adding the symptom of fever.

Our father is delicate due to dehydration, weakness and physical wear; He cannot eat well due to the canker sores in his mouth and throat that prevent him from starting to have an astringent diet, all this makes his stay in the hospital get longer and longer and the expenses begin to exceed our ability to save. Due to our condition of immigrants and COVID, we do not currently have a job that allows us to cover our father's medical and hospital expenses.

On the other hand, everything has turned uphill because our mother also lives the physical consequences of having suffered from COVID (contagious in the postoperative period of our father) and my current work situation prevents me from traveling from Spain to Colombia and collaborating with the expenses, we are at the limit, but with strength and hope.

We have full faith and trust in God, that we will get out of this situation soon, however, we need your collaboration and help to pay for medical expenses and everything that this disease involves, any help you can provide will be important and well received by we. We will be enormously grateful and we hope that each contribution is multiplied to you in health and good things for you and your family.
