Four weeks ago, Noah underwent an endoscopic biopsy of the tumor and placement of a right frontal ventriculoperitoneal shunt via a delta I valve.

Fortunately, Noah has been responding well since surgery. Although he has faced some developmental setbacks, he is starting to walk again and has regained some vision, especially to the right. However, his treatment is far from over. To shrink the tumor, Noah will require a full year of chemotherapy.

The Vargas family, made up of Daniela, Jorge and their daughter Sarai, are Ecuadorians who find themselves in a challenging situation.
