Ayuda a la familia de Laura tras las Inundaciones de la DANA

Esta es la historia de Laura y su familia, vecinos de Picanya (Valencia) afectados por las inundaciones de la DANA 2024. Esta zona ha sido gravemente dañada. Yo soy Mª Amparo, clienta de la cafetería (en Burjassot) de Laura y sus padres de toda la vida, y estoy aquí para ayudarles a que, al menos, tengan con qué comenzar su vida de cero, ya que ahora mismo se han quedado sin nada… salvo sus vidas.

Ellos no tienen fuerza mental ni tiempo para desarrollar esto, pero yo confío en la solidaridad que está demostrando toda la gente, y sé que esto les puede servir de gran ayuda y marcar la diferencia.

La DANA ha roto sus vidas por completo en menos de una hora, como David, su marido, me contaba. Apenas les dio tiempo a salir de casa con lo puesto y a subirse a la de sus vecinos. Por suerte, Laura, David y Martín, su hijo de apenas tres años, consiguieron salvarse, pero, desgraciadamente, han perdido su casa con todo lo que en ella había (muebles, electrodomésticos…), su garaje, sus coches… todo menos la esperanza de rehacer sus vidas. Y, como Laura me contaba, no les queda más que aventurarse a comenzar con lo que tienen y mirar hacia el futuro.

Esta recaudación es para ayudarlos a reconstruir su hogar, encontrar una nueva vivienda o, al menos, darles una base para iniciar esta nueva etapa.

This is the story of Laura and her family, residents of Picanya (Valencia) affected by the 2024 DANA floods. This area has been severely damaged. I am Mª Amparo, a lifelong customer of Laura and her parents’ café, and I am here to help them have at least something to start their lives from scratch, as right now they have been left with nothing… except their lives.

They don’t have the mental strength or time to organize this themselves, but I trust in the solidarity that people are showing, and I know this could provide them with great help and make a real difference.

The DANA completely shattered their lives in less than an hour, as David, Laura’s husband, told me. They barely had time to leave their home with just the clothes on their backs and seek shelter with their neighbors. Fortunately, Laura, David, and Martín, their little son of barely three years old, managed to save themselves, but sadly, they have lost their home with everything in it (furniture, appliances…), their garage, their cars… everything but the hope of rebuilding their lives. And as Laura told me, they now have no choice but to venture forward with what they have and look to the future.

This fundraiser is to help them rebuild their home, find a new place to live, or at least give them a foundation to begin this new stage of their lives.
