Mi nombre es Yessika Carmona y hoy levanto mi voz en nombre de mi papá, Iván Carmona, un hombre trabajador, luchador y con un corazón lleno de bondad, que siempre se ha caracterizado por mantener una buena actitud frente a las dificultades.

Desde hace un tiempo mi papá comenzó a presentar fuertes malestares estomacales que no le permitían alimentarse adecuadamente. Con el pasar de los días, los dolores y la angustia se intensificaron hasta que, después de múltiples exámenes, recibimos una noticia devastadora: fue diagnosticado con Linfoma no Hodgkin difuso de células B grandes, localizado en los ganglios linfáticos del mesenterio.

Este tipo de cáncer afecta el sistema linfático y está en una zona muy cercana al aparato digestivo, lo que le ocasiona inflamación, dolor y muchas limitaciones para llevar una vida normal.

A pesar de seguir el tratamiento al pie de la letra, la realidad que enfrentamos en Venezuela hace que sea casi imposible costear los gastos médicos. Todos sabemos la situación crítica de recursos en nuestro país, y lamentablemente esta enfermedad requiere de tratamientos sumamente costosos, entre ellos las quimioterapias que ya están programadas.

Hasta ahora he intentado cubrir gran parte de los gastos por mi cuenta, pero la carga es demasiado grande y me resulta imposible continuar sola. Hemos buscado ayuda de diferentes maneras, pero hoy acudimos a esta comunidad con la esperanza de poder darle a mi papá más tiempo de vida, calidad y alivio en medio de esta amarga situación.

Cada aporte, por pequeño que sea, marcará una gran diferencia en su lucha contra el cáncer. Con tu apoyo podemos darle la oportunidad de continuar esta batalla con la dignidad y la esperanza que se merece.

My name is Yessika Carmona, and today I raise my voice on behalf of my father, Iván Carmona—a hardworking, resilient man with a heart full of kindness, who has always been known for keeping a positive attitude in the face of difficulties.

Some time ago, my father began experiencing severe stomach discomfort that prevented him from eating properly. As the days went by, the pain and distress grew worse until, after multiple tests, we received devastating news: he was diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, located in the mesenteric lymph nodes.

This type of cancer affects the lymphatic system and is in a very delicate area near the digestive tract, which causes inflammation, pain, and many limitations in leading a normal life.

Despite following the treatment strictly, the reality we face in Venezuela makes it nearly impossible to cover medical expenses. We all know the critical shortage of resources in our country, and unfortunately, this disease requires extremely costly treatments, including the chemotherapy sessions that are already scheduled.

Until now, I have tried to cover much of the expenses on my own, but the burden is far too heavy for me to continue alone. We have sought help in different ways, but today we turn to this community with the hope of giving my father more time, quality of life, and relief in the midst of this painful situation.

Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a tremendous difference in his fight against cancer. With your support, we can give him the chance to continue this battle with the dignity and hope he deserves.
