Alba Orozco is creating this fundraiser for her brother, Henry Orozco, and his family after their home was severely damaged in the earthquake in Darién, Valle del Cauca, Colombia. In just a few moments, the home they had built and cared for over many years was left unsafe, forcing Henry, his wife, and their two children to leave with only what they could carry. Henry and his family have dedicated much of their lives to their small coffee farm, and their home is more than just a place to live. It is the heart of their family, their daily life, and the place they have worked so hard to build.
Right now, Henry and his family are staying in a hotel while they face the difficult and uncertain process of starting over. The funds raised will go directly toward rebuilding their home and replacing essential household items lost or damaged in the earthquake, including bathroom fixtures, appliances, furniture, and other necessities. Every donation helps bring Henry and his family one step closer to returning to a safe, livable home. If donating is not possible, sharing this fundraiser with friends, family, or the community would mean so much.
