Ayuda a Gaia a representar a Puerto Rico en Colombia Fashion Kids 2026

Algunos sueños comienzan con bombos y platillos. Otros comienzan poco a poco, con un pedazo de tela, una máquina de coser y una niña descubriendo algo que ama.

Nuestra hija Gaia tiene apenas nueve años, pero su amor por la costura y el diseño de moda ha ido creciendo durante gran parte de su vida.

Comenzó a tomar clases de costura cuando tenía alrededor de seis años, aprendiendo lo básico y creando sus primeros proyectos: carteras, cojines, faldas y otras piezas sencillas. Lo que comenzó como una actividad de niña rápidamente se convirtió en algo mucho más especial.

Comenzamos a ver cómo su creatividad, paciencia y pasión cobraban vida cada vez que se sentaba a crear.

Y mientras ella crecía, también crecía su deseo de aprender.

Durante el último año, Gaia ha continuado desarrollando sus destrezas en Runway Center, donde ha tenido la oportunidad de explorar aún más su creatividad, aprender sobre el mundo del diseño de moda y comenzar a transformar sus propias ideas en piezas que puede ver, tocar y compartir.

Y ahora, con solo nueve años, ha recibido una oportunidad increíble.

En agosto de 2026, Gaia viajará a Colombia como parte de un grupo de jóvenes diseñadoras puertorriqueñas que representarán a Puerto Rico en Colombia Fashion Kids 2026.

Como sus padres, es difícil poner en palabras lo que significa ver cómo un sueño que comenzó cuando era tan pequeña la ha llevado hasta una oportunidad como esta.

Gaia es creativa, apasionada y talentosa, y demuestra una gran dedicación cuando se trata de aquello que ama. Pero más allá de cualquier talento, lo que más nos llena de orgullo es la niña humilde, bondadosa, amorosa y de gran corazón en la que se está convirtiendo.

Como familia cristiana, creemos que Dios deposita dones y pasiones en cada uno de nosotros con un propósito. No sabemos exactamente hasta dónde llevará este camino a Gaia, pero sí creemos que nuestra responsabilidad como padres es cuidar los dones que Dios ha puesto en ella, enseñarle a trabajar por sus sueños y ayudarla a caminar con fe por las puertas que Él permita que se abran en su vida.

Y creemos que esta es una de esas puertas.

Participar en un evento internacional de moda conlleva gastos significativos, incluyendo viajes, alojamiento, telas y materiales para crear sus diseños, transportación, equipaje, gastos relacionados con el evento y muchos otros costos necesarios para prepararse para una oportunidad de esta magnitud.

Nuestra meta es recaudar $6,500 para ayudarnos a hacer posible esta experiencia y permitir que Gaia pueda subir a ese escenario internacional representando con orgullo a Puerto Rico y haciendo algo que ha amado desde muy pequeña.

Cada aportación, sin importar la cantidad, la acerca un poco más a este sueño.

Y aun si en este momento no puedes hacer una aportación económica, también puedes ser parte importante de este camino compartiendo su historia y manteniendo en tus oraciones a Gaia y a las demás jóvenes diseñadoras puertorriqueñas mientras se preparan para vivir esta increíble experiencia.

Sabemos que esta oportunidad representa mucho más que un evento o una pasarela.

Se trata de enseñarle a una niña que vale la pena trabajar por los sueños que Dios coloca en su corazón.

Se trata de permitirle descubrir hasta dónde pueden llevarla la creatividad, la disciplina, la fe y la perseverancia.

Y se trata de darle la oportunidad de llevar consigo un pedacito de Puerto Rico mientras comparte su creatividad con el mundo.

Gracias por creer en Gaia, por apoyar su sueño y por ayudarnos, como padres, a acompañarla mientras descubre y desarrolla los talentos y el propósito que Dios comienza a revelar en su vida.

Help Gaia Represent Puerto Rico at Colombia Fashion Kids 2026

Some dreams begin with great fanfare. Others begin little by little—with a piece of fabric, a sewing machine, and a little girl discovering something she loves.

Our daughter Gaia is only nine years old, but her love for sewing and fashion design has been growing for much of her life.

She began taking sewing classes when she was around six years old, learning the basics and creating some of her first projects: purses, cushions, skirts, and other simple pieces. What began as a childhood activity quickly became something much more special.

We began to see her creativity, patience, and passion come alive every time she sat down to create.

And as she grew, so did her desire to learn.

Over the past year, Gaia has continued developing her skills at Runway Center, where she has had the opportunity to explore her creativity even further, learn more about the world of fashion design, and begin transforming her own ideas into pieces she can see, touch, and share.

And now, at only nine years old, she has been given an incredible opportunity.

In August 2026, Gaia will travel to Colombia as part of a group of young Puerto Rican designers who will represent Puerto Rico at Colombia Fashion Kids 2026.

As her parents, it is difficult to put into words what it means to see how a dream that began when she was so young has led her to an opportunity like this.

Gaia is creative, passionate, and talented, and she shows tremendous dedication when it comes to the things she loves. But beyond any talent, what makes us most proud is the humble, kind, loving, and big-hearted young girl she is becoming.

As a Christian family, we believe that God places gifts and passions within each of us for a purpose. We do not know exactly where this path will lead Gaia, but we do believe that our responsibility as her parents is to nurture the gifts God has placed in her, teach her to work for her dreams, and help her walk in faith through the doors He allows to open in her life.

And we believe this is one of those doors.

Participating in an international fashion event comes with significant expenses, including travel, accommodations, fabrics and materials to create her designs, transportation, baggage, event-related costs, and many other expenses necessary to prepare for an opportunity of this magnitude.

Our goal is to raise $6,500 to help make this experience possible and give Gaia the opportunity to step onto that international stage, proudly representing Puerto Rico while doing something she has loved since she was very young.

Every contribution, no matter the amount, brings her one step closer to this dream.

And even if you are unable to make a financial contribution at this time, you can still be an important part of this journey by sharing her story and keeping Gaia and the other young Puerto Rican designers in your prayers as they prepare for this incredible experience.

We know this opportunity represents much more than one event or one runway.

It is about teaching a little girl that the dreams God places in her heart are worth working for.

It is about giving her the opportunity to discover how far creativity, discipline, faith, and perseverance can take her.

And it is about giving her the chance to carry a little piece of Puerto Rico with her as she shares her creativity with the world.
