¡Hola humanos!

Mi nombre es Gizma. Soy una gatita mexicana de un año de edad, chiquitita (apenas 2 kg), valiente y curiosa. Me gusta caminar con arnés como si fuera un perrito, perseguir abejitas, oler flores y meter mis patitas en el agua (sí, soy de las raras que disfruta del agua). También soy chismosa profesional, como buena latina, y me encanta supervisar TODO lo que hace mi humana.

Pero resulta que, aunque me veo fuerte y alegre, mi cuerpecito guarda un secreto: tengo un tumor en el riñón derecho y otra masa misteriosa en el tórax. Para saber exactamente qué son y cómo salvarme, necesito una tomografía (1300 €) y, lo más probable, una cirugía (3500–4500 €). Yo me siento con ganas de pelear y seguir correteando bichitos, pero necesito ayuda para poder hacerlo.

Mi humana Deidre vino de México a Múnich conmigo y con mi hermano gato de 6 años para trabajar como doctora. Ella es ortopedista, pero ahora mismo no puede ejercer porque está esperando que el gobierno le dé permiso laboral. Así que, aunque me cuida con todo el amor del mundo, no alcanza a pagar mis estudios y mi cirugía. Ya buscó ayuda en asociaciones y seguros, pero dicen que mi enfermedad ya es “preexistente”. (O sea, ¿qué culpa tengo yo de haber nacido con un tumor sorpresa?)

Por eso hoy maúllo fuerte: ¿me ayudas a seguir jugando, oliendo flores y saliendo de paseo?

Cada granito de arena cuenta, y aunque sea compartiendo mi historia, ya me ayudas un montón.

Prometo seguir siendo la más valiente, la más chismosa y la más consentida, si me das la oportunidad de seguir aquí ronroneando.

Abajo mi humana pondrá mis estudios y lo que el veterinario ha dicho, pero yo no sé leer, así que se los dejo a ustedes.

Aquí la respuesta del presupuesto más "accesible" de España.

Este es el ultrasonido renal de Gizma donde notan el tumor en el polo cefálico del riñón derecho, pero no han logrado delimitarlo lo suficiente para poder determinar si requiere que le quiten el tumor o el riñón completo. Además de esto, el tumor o masa que observan en el tórax, sigue siendo un misterio y requiere estudios de imagen avanzados para poder determinar qué es.

Aquí el resumen del veterinario donde dice que requiere la tomografía y posiblemente nefrectomía (quitar todo el riñón), así como valorar la masa torácica.

Hello kind humans!

My name is Gizma. I’m a tiny one-year-old Mexican kitty (barely 2 kg), brave and endlessly curious. I love going for walks on a leash like a dog, chasing little bees, sniffing flowers, and even dipping my paws in water (yes, I’m one of those rare cats who actually enjoys it). I’m also a professional gossip, as any good Latina should be, and I love supervising everything my human does.

But even though I look cheerful and strong, my little body hides a secret: I have a tumor in my right kidney and another mysterious mass in my chest. To find out exactly what they are and how to save me, I need a CT scan (1300 €) and, most likely, surgery (3500–4500 €). I still feel full of energy to play and chase bugs, but I need some help to get through this.

My human Deidre moved from Mexico to Munich with me and my 6-year-old cat brother to work as a doctor. She’s an orthopedic surgeon, but right now she can’t practice because she’s still waiting for her German work permit. So, even though she takes care of me with all the love in the world, she can’t afford the cost of my treatment. She’s already asked for help from charities and tried to get me insured, but they all say my illness is “pre-existing.” (Like… is it my fault I came with a surprise tumor?)

That’s why today I’m meowing out loud: will you help me keep playing, sniffing flowers, and going out for walks?
