My name is Edgar Moreno, husband, father, grandfather, professional and passionate about sports. I am Venezuelan and in these 62 years of age I have managed to consolidate a beautiful family, as a result of which I have three wonderful children and as the best gift two beautiful granddaughters, four and three years old. They are my eyes and daily motivation.

I am a professional Educator and Public Accountant, allowing me to have more than 40 years of work experience in these areas, where I am currently even practicing my profession in Venezuela. Totally passionate about sports, starting at the age of six with the practice of Swimming and later at the age of 10 with Basketball, maintaining the sports practice of both disciplines, which I enjoy enormously.

However, I was surprised, in the year 2022, with a chest pain when physically demanding myself during a Basketball practice. Motivated by this, I went to a medical consultation, therefore they prescribed some medications, laboratory tests and other studies, of which I could only perform a part of them, because the medical insurance service did not cover all these studies.

Consequently, I had to wait until the end of 2023 to continue with the medical studies and conclude them in January 2024. Finally, the attending Cardiologist tells me that I must undergo an Exploratory Catheterization with possible Stent placement.

On March 11th, I had a hypertensive crisis, entering the clinic through the emergency room and achieving stabilization after being hospitalized for one day in that institution. Approximately one month later, on April 16, 2024, I again had a hypertensive crisis and entered the clinic through the emergency room; this time the doctors evaluated the situation and considered it convenient to perform the catheterization.

This procedure was not favorable, since the obstructions found were very significant; I have a main artery 100% obstructed and two more arteries 99% obstructed each at two points. In the face of this situation, the placement of Stent was impossible.

Despite this situation, the attending physician informs me that I still have a solution and it is through cardiovascular surgery with the placement of three (3) Bypasses.

It is a high-risk and high-cost surgery, but it would be a solution to continue guaranteeing a better quality of life, especially health, since I do not have other pathologies; the heart and valves are healthy, I have not yet suffered a heart attack.

However, given the magnitude of the obstructions, I must have the surgery as soon as possible, because the risk of a full or partial heart attack is highly probable in the short term.

As of 2024, I do not have insurance coverage or the financial resources to cover the surgery. That is why, on this occasion, I appeal to the will of God, to your spirit of brotherhood and solidarity, to request your financial support.

No matter the amount or how small you may think it is, everything adds up to reach the required amount. Performing this surgery and regaining my quality of life are my main reasons for continuing to live, since each day I have more difficulties walking and breathing.

Once again I want to thank you for contributing to my recovery and with God's help, to be able to enjoy life and my family for many more years.

¡Hola! Ante todo Dios los bendiga, él cuida y guía nuestras vidas.

Mi nombre es Edgar Moreno, esposo, padre, abuelo, profesional y apasionado por el deporte. Soy venezolano y en estos 62 años de edad he logrado consolidar una hermosa familia, fruto de ello tres maravillosos hijos y como mejor regalo dos hermosas nietas, de cuatro y tres años. Son mis ojos y motor diario.

Soy de profesión Educador y Contador Público, permitiendo tener más de 40 años de experiencia laboral en estas áreas, donde actualmente incluso me encuentro ejerciendo mi profesión en Venezuela. Apasionado totalmente por el deporte, iniciando desde los seis años en la práctica de la Natación y posteriormente a los 10 años con el Baloncesto, manteniéndome en la práctica deportiva de ambas disciplinas, lo cual disfruto enormemente.

Sin embargo fui sorprendido, en el año 2022, con una dolencia en tórax al momento de exigirme físicamente durante una práctica de Baloncesto. Motivado es esto asistí a consulta médica, por consiguiente me prescribieron algunos medicamentos, exámenes de laboratorios y otros estudios, de los cuales solo una parte de ellos pude realizar, porque el servicio de seguro médico no alcanzó a cubrir todos estos estudios.

Por consecuencia, tuve que esperar hasta finales del año 2023 para continuar con los estudios médicos y concluirlos en enero del 2024. Finalmente, el médico Cardiólogo tratante me indica que debo realizarme un estudio de Cateterismo Exploratorio con posible colocación Stent.

El pasado 11 de marzo presenté una crisis hipertensiva, ingresando por emergencia en clínica y logrando la estabilización, luego de estar un día hospitalizado en dicha institución. Aproximadamente, un mes después, el 16 de abril de 2024 nuevamente presento una crisis hipertensiva e ingreso por emergencia en clínica; esta vez los médicos evaluaron la situación y consideraron conveniente realizar el cateterismo.

Este procedimiento no fue favorable, ya que las obstrucciones encontradas fueron muy significativas; tengo una arteria principal obstruida al 100% y dos arterias más obstruidas al 99% cada una en dos puntos. Ante esta situación fue imposible la colocación de Stent.

A pesar de esta situación, el médico tratante me informa que aún cuento con una solución y es a través de cirugía cardiovascular con la colocación de tres (3) Bypass.

Es una cirugía de alta envergadura y de alto costo, pero sería una solución para seguir garantizando una mejor calidad de vida, sobre todo salud, ya que no presento otras patologías; el corazón y las válvulas están sanas, aún no he sufrido infarto.

Sin embargo, dada la magnitud de las obstrucciones debo realizar la cirugía lo antes posible, porque el riesgo de un infarto fulminante o parcial es muy probables en un corto plazo.

A contar del 2024 no cuento con cobertura seguro, ni con los recursos económicos para cubrir la cirugía. Es por ello que, en esta oportunidad, recurro a la voluntad de Dios, a tu espíritu de hermandad y solidaridad, para solicitar tu apoyo económico.

No importa el valor de la misma o lo pequeña que puedas creer que sea, todo suma para así poder llegar a la cantidad requerida. Realizar esta cirugía y recuperar la calidad de vida son mis principales motivos para continuar viviendo, ya que cada día presento más dificultades para caminar y respirar.

Una vez más quiero agradecer por contribuir a recuperar mi salud y con la ayuda de Dios, poder disfrutar de la vida y de mis familiares por muchos años más.
